Cavalier football. It's an approach that'll get us a few bloody noses from time to time, and there'll be commentators who will point out that it's naive and that caution and killing games in a wily fashion would serve us better. We've profited from it ourselves, see Barcelona and numerous backs-to-the-wall performances at CP. We can do that and we'll occasionally be successful.

Or we can do it the Rodgers way. Baws oot, 100%, toe-to-toe with the heavyweights and not blinking. It's a effing no-brainer lads.

Scary to think how much there is still to come from this group of players. Last night will have given them massive belief. We're going to get better and better
We also have a bit of money to spend. Could be epic

Guardiola is used to teams turning up and playing almost like it's a game of chess. BR decided to launch the chess board in the bin and whip out Hungry Hippos.

He's not just brought joy to the fams but the players. Look at the respect Kolo has for him. They love playing for him. They want to perform for him. It might be the euphoria from last night but I feel we can take something from the other City and Barca games. The Etihad is nothing to fear and if we press Barca at home like we did last night and they're already through then who knows. EL qualification is a realistic prospect albeit still a challenging goal.

I must admit my preference was for moyes but I was over the moon we got BR. He's just a huge step up for us managerially in every way. The way he deals with the press in particular is excellent.

I quite like the reckless abandon of his substitutions. As I said in the match thread he must be sitting reading commando comics in the dugout.
 Aye, that was a genuine WTF moment when he left Dembele on and brought in Griffiths. Still, I assumed he knew what he was doing. Which is a nice preconception to have about a Celtic manager again.

 I burst out laughing at the sheer gallusness of it. Not sure if it was because I genuinely thought it was bold or he had lost a few marbles. That's a fair few head scratching subs but each time they have worked.

His understanding of the game is right up there. The game's played a certain way and he sticks to his philosophy but if it isn't working he changes it straight away. A lot of managers would stubbornly waiting. Not our Brendan. :worthy:

It was utter genius. Another striker on and force them to hold a few men back instead of having a man with Dembele and letting them come at us

Guardiola singling out Dembele in particular - Saying Celtic great down the wings especially Sinclair and repeatedly mentions as to how "mentally strong" Celtic are.

Mental weakness was one of the major problems under Deila - Rodgers has the team strong mentally and punching above their weight - Some transformation!!!! :worthy:

His decision to go for more goals against Beer-Sheva rather than protect a 3-2 lead was fundamental in us even playing last night. To do it against Guardiola's Man City initially seemed like madness. It was then fully explained to me by the gent sitting next to me: "Yaaaaaas Brendan, effin' right intae them, get them pumped!"

Im going against the grain here, but while being fully supportive of the change when it was made, it actually cost us the midfield, which we were already losing after Rogic went off and invited them on to us. They had plenty of chances in the last few minutes that I dont think they would have got if we kept the extra body in midfield.
