Give him the funds and let him pick the quality and we could actually be a really good force in a year or 2.

Tonight's result will help attract more players of Sinclair, Tour, Moussa calibre.

He's determined that the team is going to play to its attacking strengths and rely on those strengths to make up for the defensive deficiencies. Good. When that works, it will be tremendously entertaining. It just about came off last night and we were treated to a thrilling spectacle.
On the plus side, we're back in the running for post-Christmas European football and we might even be level on points with Manchester City at the halfway stage of the group if we beat the Germans and Barcelona keep winning. That in itself would be an astonishing achievement.
On the other hand, if the strategy comes unstuck, we may yet suffer some more postings. It's a high-stakes policy but I'm in favour of it for just now because the cautious, negative approach we've taken in Europe for too long has been dull, boring and, most of all, fairly ineffective. At last it looks like we're really going to have a go and I'll quite happily take whatever we get from trying that.
Exciting times lie ahead.

Champions League at the first time of asking, and ended Pep Guardiola's Man City side's 100% start to the season...

And we're a team in the early days of transition.

Remarkable work from BR. We're very lucky to have him.

Guardiola is used to teams turning up and playing almost like it's a game of chess. BR decided to launch the chess board in the bin and whip out Hungry Hippos.

It goes to show if you pay that wee bit extra for the right man then you can try and achieve things we thought were too far away for us nowadays. To see us play that way against a side assembled on a huge budget was sensational. Thank you Brendan

Would love to know what he and Toure said to each other at the end. Looked like it was something along the lines of 'this place is effing mental!!!'

So so happy to have the feeling again that no-one will come to Parkhead expecting to roll us over. I've watched us beat the worlds best, I've watched Bayern Munich celebrate a draw as if they'd just won the bloody cup. Yes our away record is the inverse of our home record but to hell with it. Great to hear Pep last night given us the respect we are due as well.

Would love to see us play to that level against Dundee on Saturday...
