He took a huge risk tactically tonight by having a go at City, but eff me did it pay off. They were shellshocked and the first 10 mins is the best I've seen us play in a long time given the opposition.
BR deserves immense credit for having the balls to set up like that - every other team City has played this season have shat it and played on the counter, even Utd did it at Old Trafford.

The Glasgow Celtic way, we play a team worth half a Billion, they keep pegging us back, start to look dominant, he brings on a winger and a centre forward.
Hail, Hail. Welcome to the BRENDANBAU

I quite like the reckless abandon of his substitutions. As I said in the match thread he must be sitting reading commando comics in the dugout.

A Wanyama would have made all the difference in that game. Get us that type before next summer and eff knows where this guy can take us.
Agre with this but realistically someone of that ability would make a vast difference in any game

Prior to signing up to Celtic, I didn't really rate Brendan.

After the start to the season, I had Brendan pegged as being well above anything domestically but yet to show any capability in Europe on a decent tactical basis. (formed on the Liverpool team he posessed and the Barca game)

Tonight I saw a Manager willing to do something tctically no-one in the famed EPL has the bollocks to do and on a fraction of the budget and that was to have us impose our domestic game on a superior oponent and play without the fear Deila crippled this team with.

When I saw Sutton sat in that box at full time smug as eff, I knew.

Brendan, I hope you stay for a very long time to create a legacy!!

whit? :suspect:
Roaster on clyde last night. Apparently Brendan is not the man for the job, we would be better getting WGS or Lenny back as 'they goat us tae the last sixteen'

Dalziel and Gerry both heavily hinted he might be a hun. Lol
Maybe the guy has a point :bawman:

The football he had us playing in that first half was up there with the best we've played in Europe in my lifetime.

Was refreshing to see us go toe to toe with them and not deviate from our domestic style and tactics. In the past, while we have had some great results, (better than tonight's in some cases) they were gained by adjusting our style and being a bit more defensive and cagey. Absolutely nothing wrong with that of course, I just find this new found confidence in the players remarkable.

I think if he'd got the centre mid he evidently wanted come the end of the window, we'd have won tonight.

That'll do for me lad.

How to play against Man City. Ach, just do what we do week in week out, and then, with fifteen to go, stick on another striker to see if we can win it. Magical. We are gonna love this.
