Every week in Scotland we are conceding goals against poor teams. Also in Europe we have conceded goals against poor teams. Brendan rodgers needs to get a massive improvement in our defence before we can even think of giving the likes of Barcelona a game. Mentality of the defence has to change.
It might well be the midfield are what's causing the defensive problems

I won't be judging Brendan Rodgers on Barcelona drubbing us at the Nou Camp.

I know there was a lot of guys/girls on here expecting draws etc but we were always likely to get completely pumped tonight.

Barcelona are magnificent.

Would like him to ditch the goalie though.

Hard to know what to say, hoped for better. He`ll hopefully spot that very few players in our squad have any real defensive nous outwith the CBs and Lustig. We`ll struggle to switch from all out attack at home in the SPL to any kind of useful defensive system for away Euro ties in particular.

Got his work cut out trying to come up with something that works for that squad. Hopefully it doesn`t kill our younger guys confidence or the players faith in him

Think Sinclair will be on next pen we get. Lots for BR to learn from for future squad enchancements

He'll need to sort something out that doesn't involve Bitton.

Otherwise we're on for a couple more of these in the away games.

I am not sure what people were expecting. We competed in the first half and missed a penalty. In the second half they brought on fecking Iniesta and scored some excellent goals.

We were playing the best team in the World. 9 times out of 10 they are going to pump us.

Maybe making them work for a few of their goals would've been cool.

tactics wrong, defensive line far too high, and when you have a midfield of brown and bitton thats what football teams do to you. We move on, next.

The way folk are writing this off is worrying.

I'm completely behind Rodgers, but our organisation is truly horrific when we're without the ball.
We got a complete chasing against the greatest team ever to kick a ball. Is it any wonder the players lost their discipline? They where getting a effing chasing and it is soul destroying. You want them to be stronger but this is a magnificent team who zipped the ball about from pillar to post and we couldn't get anywhere near them.

Rodgers isn't stupid. He will ensure that lessons are learnt but other than that isshould be confined to history and never be spoken about again.

They do that to most teams. The movement of that front three is frightening. It's not like we just let them score. They were just too good for us.

The problem is clearly brown/bitton both good players in their own right but who together in the middle of the park make each other regress. I say this generally as brown was decent tonight.

We need to try and get third. Europe after Christmas might help us in January window. We need a midfielder and another few Brendan signings.

Brendan Rodgers is an attack minded manager. That is clear as day. Perhaps he needs to rethink the defensive side and find a coach with decent experience to help, but I would far rather Brendan Rodgers and his football than Davie Moyes or any of the others who were mentioned.

He has shown that he can make these guys better domestically and that's our bread and butter. However, he will also know come January and the summer window what he needs to make us compete at this level and I fully expect a much stronger team next season.

Yup. This Barca team are excellent. Remarkable, even. However, there's at least 4 of those goals that are so easily defended against if folk actually go with their man and don't ball watch.

I knew we'd get beat tonight. We're on a hiding to nothing, but Jesus, do the basics right and make them work for it at least.

Rodgers isn't stupid, but here we are again, failing to do the basics defensively.

Don't think anyone expected to win tonight but no Celtic team should ever be conceding seven goals in one game. Embarrassing result for Rodgers to have on his CV and he needs to learn fast when you think we've got free-scoring Man City up next.

He didn't lose 7-0 against just anyone for eff sake. He lost against arguably the greatest team ever. Not one club will pay even the remotest attention to that. Kidding yourself on if you think they will.
