Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Add me to that list.

Ridiculous how wrong i was.
Another who wanted Moyes and absolutely delighted to be wrong. Rodgers is the real deal, and completely the right fit for us at this point in time. Long may he reign.
Yup, I wanted Moyes. What a fud. Delighted to be wrong about how a BR management would turn out.

They'd have pumped us anyway but I don't think he called it right tonight.

Going 5 at the back may have been a good idea but it was rendered completely pointless by playing only 2 central midfielders.

Needs to quickly get this out the system of the players. Chalk it down to experience and get on with it. We where always going to struggle so even if we had set up a million different ways we would probably have got our arses smacked.

I agree.

I'm sure he'll learn plenty through this UCL campaign.

4-1-4-1 was the way to go, we've 5 guys at the back ball watching and amazingly no one is tracking their runners, actually hard to believe how bad the marking is. Marking space rather than their man

Yup, don't have a 3rd midfielder or a left sided CB which would helped either the 5 at the back or playing 451.
Squad building exercise far from complete but we knew that.

New experience for him tonight. Heaviest ever defeat. He will file it under never speak of again I would reckon.

Well since he's been brought in we have qualified for the CL, skelped the huns and got off to an excellent domestic start... However we have also suffered our most embarrassing ever defeat to the Imps and now our heaviest defeat in Europe. Roller coaster start to the season and it's only September.

We were onto a hiding tonight no matter what formation he played.

This is a learning curve for him too.

We were told he wasn't great in European away games, and so far it does seem to be his only real weakness. I think he got the defensive setup wrong tonight, nobody seemed to be sure who they were picking up and what they were supposed to be doing. Not sure how much difference it made in the end, though, our players are just nowhere near the level of Barca.

Absolutely

A year ago we were being embarrassed home and away by Molde in the Europa League. This is still largely that squad.

Getting us here was the first step, now he has to learn from it. The big thing is that tonight doesn't damage too much of the good work he has done since July.

Still the best we looked in attack away from home. Absolutely destroyed but against less Sinclair and Dembele on the break could do nicely . Anyone expected anything else off their heads

Nah not having that.

It was evident from the first minute that we did not have a clue what to do in that formation. Yes it's Barca and yes we'd more than likely still get a doing but the least you can do is set the team out in a way they are comfortable with. He then didn't do a thing about it for the whole game.

2v3 in the midfield was baffling.

The way folk are writing this off is worrying.

I'm completely behind Rodgers, but our organisation is truly horrific when we're without the ball.

Every week in Scotland we are conceding goals against poor teams. Also in Europe we have conceded goals against poor teams. Brendan rodgers needs to get a massive improvement in our defence before we can even think of giving the likes of Barcelona a game. Mentality of the defence has to change.
