Earned his luck tonight by getting right last week. We won it over 180 minutes, and deservedly so.

Can point to the fact we are through as testament to his choices but we need to question his decisions somewhat.

Janko/McGregor failed us terribly as did Brown and Gordon. Taking off Griffiths too was questionable.
If he doesn't or can't come up with able replacements for Janko and Brown we will be in trouble against the 'proper' CL teams.

Horrid viewing, questionable subs and by providence, somehow, we are through.

Cash needs spent.

He's not going to get everything right, and he isn't helped by the fact he inherited a shower of cowards. But it's a marathon, not a sprint, and he's secured CL football at the first attempt, which we all know is no mean feat.

Now back him with the cash and gut some of the deadwood from this squad.
This. Getting through tonight is all that matters...at his first attempt too.

Brendan can analyse what he got wrong later.

The last sub he made was good. Probably the only good one he made all night. But important to recognise that Gordon is going to be gone soon and Janko surely not going to start ever again.

Not much to add that hasn't already been said. Got away with it tonight big time.

Got into CL with a pretty poor squad. Lucky yeah but I'll take that every day of the week. We'd have been done 5 or 6 nil last year.

Got the tactics wrong tonight, inviting pressure, and should have had Janko off at half time. Still, he made the right change at the end to grind it out. It's certainly an achievement to get us this far at the first attempt, especially given what he was left with, so can't be too harsh. Just don't do it again, BR.

Nothing wrong with a lucky manager.

I hope tonight is a rare exception when Rodgers completely gets it wrong in terms of organisation and subs etc.

However he has just become the first Celtic manager ever to qualify for the Champions League in his first season.

Now please demand two monumental signings in the next eight days Brendan

I recall declarations in the summer that it should be understandable if he did not make it with this squad. Well, he effing well has and still with the complaining. Mistakes made that he has to learn from of course, but frankly I don't give an eff how we have gotten there. We just have. He can sort it out for the groups by getting a couple more players in the door.

Can't believe he has got us into the CL with the majority of Deilas squad. Tonight was shampoo but what an achievement. When was the last manager to do a decent job in Europe in their first season? Good managers get that bit of luck because they earn it. Well in Rodgers

The midfield was all wrong, and janko should have been off earlier. But when he changed it putting on erik they only really created one decent chance afters.

Should have gone 3-5-2 tonight really, and we got away with it....just about.

Did not play his tactics right tonight. It happens, especially early on with a team and I hope he learned from it. Unfortunately, Janko was a nightmare.

Clearly we have problems in defense.... two goals against us in the 1st leg against Hapoel, 2 goals against St Johnstone and two goals tonight against Hapoel again.

The team looked extremely nervous. Should have had Erik in from the start.

Some how we are in the CL, happy about that.

I would argue we need to bring in a more than just one player. I see at least two. One in defense and one in midfield.

If not....we will take an absolute hammering in the CL.

Well played. It's what we wanted and hoped for. And That Israeli mob were better than Malmo and Maribor. Comfortably.
Obviously well played in general. Not tonight

I think that's an important point....we knocked out a team who'd likely beat the teams who previously knocked us out
