Whilst there's no doubt Lennon will have some interesting insights and probably kept contact with these players during Ronny's time, he needs to learn to shut up. Deila's gone. We've moved on. Same with Chris Sutton the other night. I don't know why a public free for all on Ronny is deemed acceptable now. There was no need for Lennon to say that at all, it's totally disrepectful - he's effectively trying to publicly humiliate the guy. He comes across as extremely bitter.
He's a fud. I like him anyway and he's a Celtic legend, but clearly the guys a complete winker. The new TEG!

Lenny
“I was really pleased for Scott scoring his goal. Look, these players – Scott Brown, James Forrest, as well as the likes of Kris Commons and Charlie Mulgrew, who didn’t figure – have had a lot of criticism over the last two years.

“They’re not bad players and what Brendan has done is just tapped into them again. He looks like he’s getting the best out of them again.

“For a long time they were getting a lot of criticism from Celtic supporters which I don’t think was down to the players.

“Who’s fault was it? Well, who do you think? One day I will talk about it but I don’t think you need to be a rocket scientist to work it out.”
I really hope Lenny isn't coming out with this kind of pish.

Ignoring the fact that, Commons aside, these players and others were pretty crap in his last season, you don't need to be a Rocket scientist to see that the club from the top down was putting itself in to a deep financial freeze until the Huns were back in some form.

Assuming he isn't venting at Lawwell, which he clearly isn't, he would be as well getting his own career back to a decent standard again, rather than bitching about a cheapo project coach who was given the job to pass the time.

Everything that we are doing now seems very different to how it's been over the last 3,4 or even 5 years.

No talk of John Park or players being picked for the manager, Money being made available before CL qualification.

You would think that Brendan was just getting the team back to the level that we saw in Lennys last season reading this crap. In reality it's a huge step up from the previous two coaches we have employed, but that's what happens if you employ an actual manager and do things properly.

Sauce for the goose etc.

Ronny Deila blamed his short comings on Neil Lennon about 18 months ago. I'm pretty sure Lennon hasn't forgot that.

This is quite a good read about the tactics last night.

So it was ok for Deila to have a go at Lennon?

People are just saying it as it is with Deila. He was a failure.

Some people are very quick to have a go at Neil Lennon on here. It's pretty strange sometimes how quick people want to get tore into him.

No it wasn't. And in doing so Ronny made a rod for his own back.

Deila shouldn't have had a go, and Lennon should have been the bigger man and not bothered having a dig in return.

They both acted like dicks, and I don't see why one deserves criticism over the other for it.

Neither of them are with us any longer. If they want to get tore into each other, let them have at it.

Still miss Lenny, though :(

"as well as the likes of Kris Commons and Charlie Mulgrew, who didn’t figure – have had a lot of criticism over the last two years."

One has been punted out the door and the other is not even remotely close to being involved in Rodgers plans.

As for Brown and Forrest - Forrest was injured as usual for large spells of Ronny's time, Brown did feature and was on the main shampooe like everyone else on the team.

Just concentrate on Hibs, Neil.

I can't see it anyway, we have plenty of CBs with everyone fit, he'd be about 5th choice.

Might just be wishful thinking though.

BTW, I was never convinced about Deila.

That "roar" thing used to annoy me after we'd scraped a 1:0 victory against the likes of Caley Thistle, etc.
