No way Rodgers expects players to pull out of 50/50s based on a referee's recent attitude to foul play.

He's sending a subtle, implicit, MON-esque message to all of Scotland that every card is marked, and it's effing class.

You see the disdain in his eyes when he is asked silly questions, but he answers them fairly and kindly. The eyes say one thing, his words say another. The same goes for telling the media about the referee stuff - that ain't for the players; it's for the media and the refs.

He's miles ahead of anything else in Scottish football.
No offence mate, but that's a lot of rubbish. The 'referee report' is clearly for the benefit of the players as no manager worth his salt would dedicate his staff's time to analysing a referee's performance to the level that Rodgers' is for some cheap soundbite.

He is miles ahead of anything else in Scottish football but for exactly the opposite reasons of what you've posted.
No offence taken mate this is what KDS is all about.

It's great to be interested in hearing a Celtic manager speak again. Whilst I initially liked listening to Ronnie (he talked a a good game after all) it grew tiresome fairly quickly. That article about the preparation is just fantastic and as someone else said, indicates a level of effort and professionalism that has possibly been missing for a while. I can imagine holding interviews and one of the candidates turns up with one of those briefing document about a project or task. That would be pretty impressive.

See that how it should go, differing points of view sorted out with a kiss and a cuddle. No need for PMs offering a square go or cheap digs. Just love, peace, happiness and a hotel room.

I think having a manager with some sort of pedigree is the main difference.

We are paying handsomely to have a manager who has more experience at a higher level, time spent managing world class players and systems that have proven 'pretty' successful at a level higher than we are currently at.

Its not surprising to see the players up their game for Brendan, the fans are all on board, the manager has the contacts to bring in experienced professionals that add quality and a bit of glamour and we are entering a period where one or two good results early doors could really create the kind of momentum needed for great things to happen.

Strange to read so many posts still wanting to compare Ronny to BR, or even Lenny for that matter. It's painfully obvious we played it economically safe while the Huns went kaput. Rodgers is a move back to having a proper manager again, exactly what we needed for what could be a fairly competitive league compared to previous years.

Brendan seems to be a cracking fit, hopefully he'll get the luck his experience and ability deserves.

Don't know if it's been mentioned but didn't realise how small Rodgers actually is until you see him in the flesh.
