He looked genuinely delighted at the final whistle. Things are changing at the club in a good way.

Yep. Very careful not to critique the last guy. Showed true professionalism.
Absolute class from the guy. No one would've batted an eyelid if he stuck the boot in, might've even won him a few plaudits. He did it because it was the right thing to do. Could listen to him all day long. Tanner is a reprobate. Can't wait to see his face when we give Newco an utter hiding
I've read a few posts which mention that today's game was reminiscent of Mon's first league game at Tannadice. If his first Glasgow derby is anything like Mon's it will be a joy to behold.

He's bang on about the mentality needing to be right first. You can get through the CL qualifiers by being well organised and having belief. That's what we've been doing so far. The flowing football will follow :)

"Did it take a super human effort to get Sinclair registered in time?"

"Yeah, about 6 weeks"

Made a very good point about having pace in the squad for away games in Europe, exciting times ahead.

Liking his work so far and good to see that all three of his signings have made an impact already.

Getting his substitutions right, although as as been pointed out sometimes his first selection isn't doing the business.

For me, we're crying out for creativity in the middle of the park. I know he doesn't cover the same amount of turf, but I'd like to see Rogic getting a run. It would be interesting to see how we get on with a guy who can pick out a pass when we have players with genuine pace in the team to pick out. Armstrong and McGregor may well do a lot of running, but they are not going to break down tight defences as consistently as someone like Rogic.

Not everybody has to be the same in a team. I remember Deschamps being dismissed as a 'water carrier' and look at what he won in his career. He scored 17 league goals, but he was an integral part of league, cup, Champions League, European Championships and World Cup winning sides. Maybe we need a water carrier for someone like Rogic, or maybe we should accept flaws in certain players if they are the ones who can pick the lock for you. Not everyone is a natural athlete and there's a limit to how much they can do - saw the Polish guy not even bothering to join the sprint in the cycling last night in Rio even though he was only about 50 or 100 metres from the line. He didn't have it anymore.

Remember also that Rogic came back from injury and a loan spell, before playing in a side where just about everybody was blowing out their arses by the end of the game - to me, the team as a whole looks fitter already.

It may be that someone is earmarked to come in though and can be creative and super mobile, in which case I'm looking forward to that. Can feel a good season shaping up. Get the players in the manager wants and get into the Champions League and all the investment is payed back in one fell swoop - who knows when we'll get another chance as good as this!

Shifting out the one paced plodders, and replacing them with guys with pace.
Quite right.

I am very impressed so far. He has that presence about him that only MON has had in my lifetime, and before him, the great man himself I imagine. He has pinpointed and moved to rectify the problems in the squad as best he can in a short space of time. Tactical knowledge seems beyond reproach as well.

Almost seems unfair to have such a manager going up against the likes of Neilson and McInnes.

This is the thing that's impressed me most. He knows when it isn't working and isn't afraid to make changes in order to rectify things.

I can't remember any of our previous managers being so willing to alter the team's shape throughout a game.

Totally impressed with his intelligence, and his savvy. He has a straightforward way of talking about the game that makes it hard for the laptop loyal to pin him down. You can pick up on their waryness of him and almost deference of him in places in that interview. He might have to come out fighting at some stage but right now he looks a very cool character indeed.

Started better than I hoped. Think he is carrying a bit of luck as well so far with substitutions inparticular but you make your luck sometimes. Long may it continue.

Love listening to his analysis of games as well. A refreshing change from Delia calling everything and anything 'unbelievable'.

Think that means 'I hoped he do ok and build from a low base but he's improved us dramatically already'.

Knows exactly what he wants from the team and knows what changes to to make to get the best from the squad. Exactly what Deila couldn't do so its night and day from last year. We're a dangerous team this year who will be hard to beat. Exciting times ahead :rocker:

Once again he makes a substitution and an in-game change of formation that leads to a win. He's done that multiple times already and he's only been here for five competitive matches. Very encouraging. His changes won't always come off of course but it's reassuring to know he has that in his locker and that he is not afraid to change things if they are not working.

As an aside, it is utterly embarrassing listening to the media in this country throwing the name of Rangers at him at every opportunity. Rhona McLeod was particularly bad in the pre-match press conference(Friday?) before the Hearts match. She asked him if he would care to say who he thought our main challengers would be, he batted that away. So she continued by asking him if he thought the return of Rangers would make it a more attractive league, he answered by saying the attraction for him was Celtic. Obviously not content with the answers she was getting, she decided to come back for a third try and asked him if he felt he would be missing out if he didn't get the chance to take Rangers on head to head - to which he replied "not really". 1-2-3 GIRFUY

Seriously though, I despise the media in this country. Everything has to be about 'them'. (Them being a four year old entity spawned out of the dead remains of a racist and religiously bigoted club that had cheated the rest of Scottish football for years). It boils my piss. My consolation comes in the fantastic way in which Brendan has knocked down every question about them so far and in how he has made it crystal clear that he is here for one reason and one reason only, he supports Celtic. That must really get to them.

Made some industrious changes yesterday which contributed to secure 3 points for Celtic. Shows a lot more flexibility than Deila ever did. Rodgers is an important reason why I´m still with you guys. If you had appointed Keane instead, I´d be out (apologise to all his fans, but in my humble opinion, the guy is a complete arse).
