He doesn't suffer fools gladly. I think during the season you'll see him defend the club against stupid questions from the journos. Great start so far, really warming to him.

Ronny's big failing was never realizing the press were against him. Rodgers seems to have clocked how snide they are immediately - giving them eff all. Good.

Wasn't keen on Rodgers but have to admit i am warming to him - comes across as honest and intelligent.
Absolute same.
It'll be difficult to gauge him when he's got so much dross to choose from, but his manner and knowledge of the game is starting to shine.

The SMSM haven't had their erses felt yet I expect.

Study journalism at Greggs and expect to get an interview with a Killie Pie.

Todays press conference:

Fantastic response to the inevitable " whit aboot The Ranjurs"

He handles these press conferences brilliantly.
As much as I used to moan about what BR said at Liverpool, he never really lost a conference. Never looked annoyed or whatever - never flustered. If anything, he said too much. However, that would be in a bid to impress fans who weren't convinced by him, perhaps. Up here he's the most experienced man in the league so he'll feel easy handling the press up here. The "tough" questions they ask him will get eviscerated the minute he hits them with a retort about actual football. Because he 100% is a brilliant tactician. He used to be at home in European conferences when they would ask him about football, it was when they asked him about the politics and off the pitch stuff that he faltered.

I reckon he'll boss conferences up here. The press here will see him as a big hitter and he's forgot more about the sport than the press all know combined so he'll handle that just fine. I think he'll deal with our politics much better as he knows he isn't trying to prove he deserves to be here in the first place. It's actually quite funny watching the similarity to the way that he, Klopp and Deila are all sharing such a similar element.

Klopp has come in and corrected all the issues he can about the club that existed under Rodgers in a very short space of time. Rodgers, in turn, is doing what appears to be the same thing with us. It's just crazy to see such parallels - I can't ever really remember a time where it's felt so similar. But yeah, he seems to have the same swagger and aura that Klopp has where everyone wants to listen to him and he's fully confident.

Looks far more at home now than he did at Liverpool at any stage I can remember; this makes me really pleased. He's more likely to actually be Rodgers, rather than trying to act like some weird Mourinho/Brent hybrid. I disliked the way he got swallowed up by Liverpool and lost control of the decision making process within weeks of walking into the club. Same with Deila here, being reflective. No chance that's happening here. Loved the way he's spoken so far in most of the interviews and he looked effing delighted the other night, really pleased for him if not 100% "on the bus" so far.

He's like a different guy up here so far - and that's a very good thing  .
Good post, mate.

I was one who wanted David Moyes, though largely because I didn't believe that Brendan Rodgers would entertain us or that we would be bold enough to get him. Now that Rodgers is here and we see that the extent of Moyes's ambition seems to be finishing 13th with Sunderland in England I'm convinced that we've made the best appointment we've made since Martin O'Neill. I've never looked forward to a season as much as this one.

His signings are an indication of how much faith the board has in him and of his standing in the game. I'm not sure we'd have Dembele, Toure or Sinclair coming north for Ronny Deila. He isn't afraid to change things when a game is going wrong and he is refreshingly flexible in his tactics. His media personna was often the source of ridicule when he was at Liverpool, but so far here everything he says has filled me with confidence. Sure, things like comparing Scott Brown to Gerrard or Griffiths to Suarez is patently ridiculous, but there's nothing wrong with bigging up your own and I'd imagine he's the sort of influence who can leave you feeling 15ft tall.

I'm delighted he's here and I hope he's given everything he needs to get us to where he wants us to be.

Was it against Arsenal that liverpool turned it on big time and won 4-0?

I sincerely hope he has our team up and running and pumped up BIG time for the Sevco game.

I want a humiliation job.
