BR on if he's asked Nir Bitton about Hapoel Be'er Sheva and what the midfielder said: "Yes. None of your business."
That reads as if Bitton was telling BR it was none of his business
Bitton clearly isn't a grass... :ph43r:
Probably learnt that in the IDF.

He really did - persistent questions about sevco - asked one way then another

Desperate stuff to crowbar them into everything (from the BBC reporter if I'm correct)

He does indeed - has a very calm air about him and a fairly open down to earth approach

Mind you Strachan and MON were both excellent with the press and I thought Lenny was very good as well - some of Strachans interviews were great

EDIT to add Wim Jansen was also very good with snidey interviewers

he answered it similarly to Scott Brown.
Brown had said Aberdeen would be our biggest challengers this season.
BR Rodgers mentioned Aberdeen first as well.

The media then got Kenny Miller and umpteen Hun bloggers to say that Broonie was kidding no one.
Wonder what reception they will give to BR's press conference.

I thought there was something of the David Brents about him but I think I was wrong.

Speaks very well and just gets it. Ronny never did.

As much as I used to moan about what BR said at Liverpool, he never really lost a conference. Never looked annoyed or whatever - never flustered. If anything, he said too much. However, that would be in a bid to impress fans who weren't convinced by him, perhaps. Up here he's the most experienced man in the league so he'll feel easy handling the press up here. The "tough" questions they ask him will get eviscerated the minute he hits them with a retort about actual football. Because he 100% is a brilliant tactician. He used to be at home in European conferences when they would ask him about football, it was when they asked him about the politics and off the pitch stuff that he faltered.

I reckon he'll boss conferences up here. The press here will see him as a big hitter and he's forgot more about the sport than the press all know combined so he'll handle that just fine. I think he'll deal with our politics much better as he knows he isn't trying to prove he deserves to be here in the first place. It's actually quite funny watching the similarity to the way that he, Klopp and Deila are all sharing such a similar element.

Klopp has come in and corrected all the issues he can about the club that existed under Rodgers in a very short space of time. Rodgers, in turn, is doing what appears to be the same thing with us. It's just crazy to see such parallels - I can't ever really remember a time where it's felt so similar. But yeah, he seems to have the same swagger and aura that Klopp has where everyone wants to listen to him and he's fully confident.

Looks far more at home now than he did at Liverpool at any stage I can remember; this makes me really pleased. He's more likely to actually be Rodgers, rather than trying to act like some weird Mourinho/Brent hybrid. I disliked the way he got swallowed up by Liverpool and lost control of the decision making process within weeks of walking into the club. Same with Deila here, being reflective. No chance that's happening here. Loved the way he's spoken so far in most of the interviews and he looked effing delighted the other night, really pleased for him if not 100% "on the bus" so far.

He's like a different guy up here so far - and that's a very good thing  .

Not taking anything away from Rodgers but it's probably not that difficult to deal with questions such as:

"Do you need to plan ahead for away European ties?" (paraphrased).

Our sports journalists are not exactly the sharpest.

well impressed with his press conf, was not his biggest fan when he was at Liverpool, but he conducted himself really well there. All the traps were avoided and a cool headed response to all questions, composed and self assured throughout

Absolutely brilliant. Succulent lamb tries to get a quote on how excited BR is to have Sevco in the league- ends up with a quote about how it's all about Celtic, with a huge fan base and one of the biggest teams in the world. Class!

What did Bitton tell you about this Hapoel mob? "None of your business" in a jokey manner and the turd comes back with "Is that what he said to you" Brendan didn't look too happy with whoever that was.
