Surprised he's cool (presumably) with taking this squad into the next qualifier.

He's certainly taking his life into his hands.
What odds would you get on him resigning tomorrow stating no support from the board? He has a reputation and won't want it ruined with perceived failure up here in a diddy league
  thats pathetic even by kds standards :ffs:

I'm new. Be gentle.
Pleased with Brendan's signings so far - when he says he wants quality he definitely means it. If this is the standard of player that we are looking to sign then I'm happy to wait that wee bit longer than just signing a 2nd or 3rd choice player just for the sake of it

We're flying out on Monday?
I guess we're not going to bother trying to acclimatise to the time difference and just try to treat it like a regular 3pm kickoff? :ponder:
I don't understand it at all

6 hour time difference is tough to fully acclimatise to in a couple of days. If they went out tonight after the game and try then it's a gamble that might not pay off. By staying on UK time, and treating the game as a 3pm kick off you take away that risk. As has been mentioned before, it'll be harder for Astana coming here as if they don't try and acclimatise then they'll be kicking off at 0145 their time.

Quality over Quantity. Very happy.

A lot of you would have us back to signing the Dundee Utd first team again ;)

He's playing a risky game.
Looks like he's going to have to earn his pay.
Shame that doesn't apply to Pistol Pete.

Keep it tight & hit on the break.
Bring back a clean sheet & hope for an away goal.
Don't play with the imposters - this is the bit that worries me the most.
I can imagine Kenny Rogers singing that!

Agree with first line. My concern is the team to face Astana.

Hopefully Sinclair can be there. Their striker is out, I think we stand a good chance.

I agree, keep it tight in first leg, we can't win the tie in the first leg but we can sure as hell lose it. try to snatch an away goal and then let loose at home in front of the mad mental home support.

It's a decent basic strategy, but Toure won't be fit for the first leg which is why I was eager for contact over McNair half season loan. LB LCB RCB Tierney Sviatchenko Lustig is strong. Ok Toure probably good for the season but I only look as far as the next game before season planning. I think RB is the most pressing need especially as the underrated Lustig (at least in this forum) needs monthly recovery to remain at peak levels.

makes sense to me. Pity the return leg isnt the Tuesday as it would have given them less chance of adjusting.

If he gets a positive result tomorrow the belief that we have in BR will carry on and given the players that may make up the defensive side of the team tomorrow it'll be very encouraging if we do
