Still looks the same as under Deila to be honest. Especially with the piggy in the middle game & John Kennedy pointing at things.
Let's hope he does better than Deila & actually drops the people who have caused World wide "embarrassment" to the club. Seeing the highest paid & supposedly most responsible player, doing his usual fannying about having a laugh doesn't fill me with optimism.
Looks like he had a very compact group of players he was working with in particular - I know it's just a snippet, but give me something to cling onto...
Most encouraging is that Bitton and Ambrose aren't anywhere to be seen, hopefully they've been told to find work elsewhere.
That video backs up the pictures. Definitely a smaller group. Makes sense as its sleeves up time. Brendan, out of professional respect, had to be seen to be given everyone a fair crack at it. Honeymoon period is over and hopefully he has shown his managerial credentials by trimming the squad of players who are not good enough or don't have the heart fot it ie bitton.

Which first team players weren't there?
Missing from the group Rodgers was working with was Ambrose, Bitton, GMS. I was surprised to see Forrest and Commons. though.
Actually, I think you can see Ambrose working with a separate group in the background at 1:04 on that clip.

Think that's Boyata in the background - slicker do.

It's still 99% of Deilas team to be fair. Your second paragraph is the big question. I've got to believe that Rodgers wouldn't be the manager he is without making cut throat decisions in his career. Why would he change now.
His biggest mistake so far is not getting Mulgrew in for the qualifiers.
Nice trolling there.
Mulgrew finished the season as our 2nd best centre back.
After Boyata's injury re-signing Mulgrew or an experienced centre back was crucial going in to the qualifiers.
We've now paid the price with a humiliating defeat. Eric and Mulgrew worked well together and should have been our first choice pairing going into the Imps game.

I'd say it's just as much Lennon's team as Ronny's.

Nah, all of Lennon's best players have been sold. It's John Park and Dudu Dahan's team.
Rodgers post match interview did have a bit of the Ronny about it. Mind you, Strachan used to do the same no matter how bad the team were.
MON never publicly attacked the team but at least you could see he was absolutely raging when they let him down. I really hope Rodgers tore them in pieces. If he didn't they'll begin to think that level of performance is acceptable.
Name a manager who publicly calls out his players and almost certainly you'll name a failure of a manager.
Even Sir Alex Ferguson, perhaps the most famously hot tempered manager of all time, would say nothing in front of the media. Whenever you do see managers letting rip publicly it's usually a signal the beginning of the end for said manager. It may be frustrating for fans who are angry at players but you simply don't do it.

Would you give Charlie 1 million a year wages ??? Not a chance

I do like the optimism and hope in that post
It's just some training drills
Hope it was some dead ball drills as delivery was shocking the other night.

Didn't see Rogic there either. I'm sure it all means eff all

True - minus Forster, Wanyama, Van Dijk, Hooper, Lustig, Ledley, Matthews and others, of course.
