Edit- you do understand after next week we have a further two rounds of vastly improved opposition ....qualifying unfortunately ain't happening unless major quick surgery
It was one game with one set of players in a tough environment, I think that will change next week.

BR has pretty much said he expects the away games to be tight but the home games is where we'll win the tie. I believe him.

That's what I said we will win next week but we won't qualify for groups with these same set of players. If recent history has taught us anything about them they cannot perform in Europe. We will win next week but serious doubts about us getting to group stages with same bunch of imposters. They have given us no evidence they has the bottle or capability to do so

Still trying to get my head around BR bumming up Allan and Ajer for the last few weeks only to drop them like a hoors drawers at the first time of asking.

The disappearance of Roberts stinks.

HoopsmanB on twitter saying brendan gave it the hair dryer treatment last night and told a few that their time at celtic is up. We shall see soon with the next couple of team selections.
Really hope this is true.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I don't mean a panic buy. I reckon the purse strings will loosen a little more on the back of that result . We don't need any additions to beat that team at celtic park. Still reckon the overall score will be 7-1
Not so sure they will - my view is that the bulk of any transfer budget will be bassed on qualification for the groups (leaving us little time to get anyone in and allowing the window to slam shut on my shattered dreams yet again  )
If he sold off most of last night's starters it would feel like a new signing.

playing griffiths wide right last was as bad a decision as any that he made last night ...as shampooe as we were am convinved if griffiths had been played through the middle last night we would not have lost

What frustrates me about Rodgers is that there are many issues with the current squad. Griffiths was not one of those. To come in and change the only positive aspect of Celtic last season whilst he doesn't have the players to play the way he wants to play is arrogance in my view.

I suspect he was trying to get his new Larsson off to a flyer, put diddies in the windae and win anyway because the opposition was one step up from Wormit primary school imps.

Griff isn't suited to playing wide right and I don't think Rodgers should be tinkering with the one player who was outstanding for Celtic last season.

Roberts absence was a strange one, maybe man city decided they didn't want their 12 million thoroughbred running on the fibresand

The main purpose of employing a top 50 manager is to maximise potential of encumbents while assessing which to sell. Extra expenditure on good management results in long term savings from success negating requirement of many new signings.

Last night made me reassess Brendan. Much of what he learned and distilled in his early years of coaching was discarded in favour of whimsy/astrology/a bet with a friend that he could make gold from excrement. The fundamental of ONLY selecting a squad from those who are 1. Physically fit and 2. Motivated to win were absent. Starting 3 players who are more concerned with staying uninjured before an anticipated move is ignorance of reality. Persevering with a liability as captain and another in central defence compounded the fatal error. The responsibility for the worst result in the club's history lies entirely with the manager.

I think people 'want' this to be true - we can take some tiny crumb of comfort from it but the question remains, did he?

Paul at CQN is a tool. Why does he constantly hang out the back of Commons. The guy can't run, is unfit and can't listen to instructions. He had one good season, he's not the answer.
But with that CV he would fit perfectly iin.

At least he's quickly reduced the level of expectation. Hopefully he has the balls to make some massive decisions before next week.

I think last night was a masterclass move by Brendan, send out last years dross knowing they might efe it up as they did last season so many times but knowing he would win the tie at home next week, thus making it very easy for him to change any players he wishes and not having to explain too much to said players.
