Thankfully he can't.

We shouldn't offer him anything anyway.
Totally agree

Early stages, but Rodgers could be a Delia MK 2.
It was his first competitive game as Celtic manager?

I'm not saying he will be, but he does have blind spots already the same Delia had. Hopefully he will learn that Brown,Bitton,Forrest and Ambrose should be shown the door.
It's his first competitive game? It is far too early to say he has a blind spot for Forrest etc.

Obviously disappointing but we were by far the better team and deserved to win the game. The pitch was terrible and it had one of those nights written all over it. It's abundantly clear we need a complete overhaul of the team. Too many guys have wasted too many chances. I expect us to hammer this team next week but Brendan has his work cut out - that much is for certain.

We weren't by far the better team, and did not deserve to win the game. Don't know what game you watched.

After they went 1-0 up, they went very close on two separate occasions to extending their lead.

Match stats wise we had 5 shots on target, to their 4. We had a total of 13 shots, to their 9. We had 5 corners to their 2.

We bossed the game from start to finish. We hit the bar twice. We lacked quality in the final third (surprise surprise) but we WERE the better team, of course we were. That's not to say that is any big deal since they are complete pish. It's a massive wake-up call - that is for sure.

The worrying thing for me is his response to all this. There is a very much a "nothing to see her attitude" in my opinion.

I get the impression that with Allardyce going to England he'll be touting himself for Sunderland . His comments on Talksport for someone who claims to support the club show someone who has no understaning of the depth of feeling here.

Last night was an occasion when heads have to roll. If Rodgers is one of those so be it

Said it before, but he should have been brought in months ago. He wanted the job and it was a massive failure and waste of everyones time letting Deila finish the season. What a effing waste of time. Something is irrepairable at the core of the squad and it needed to be addressed half a season ago. At the very least, Rodgers should have been approached and asked to identify the parts of the team that he felt needed fixed first. I personally think we have zero chance of qualifying for the CL group stages. Once again, it is too much too soon and, as much as I believe Rodgers will go on to manage a really good and successful Celtic side, it could very well be a few windows away.

I thought he handled the presser as well as could be expected.

He looked seething at the start of it and could barely get his words out.

It remains to be seen what he will do in response, but for now the blame lays entirely with the players.

75% possession, woodwork hit twice and a goal chalked off - We will take them next week but this should at least pressure our board into signing Sinclair and Toure hopefully.

It should put pressure on the board to sell many of our "experienced" players who have let us down time and time again.

we have heard every manager spout nonsense after embarrassing defeats from lennon and ronny to mon and strachan.

what he said after it is the least of our issues, its how he deals with it in the dressing room and how he and the players respond. we all know he knows it was an embarrassment just like mon knew we were noy always "astonishingly brilliant"

after match comments like last night will only be a worry if its a regular occurence and there is no backlash from the team.
