Bizarre subs tonight.

Forrest over Roberts.
Armstrong over McGregor.
Dembele off with Brown and Bitton still on.

Must take his share of the blame.
I can only think the state of the pitch was a factor in Roberts or Lustig not playing. That's the only plausible reason.

An even worse start than the 3-0 against West Brom for Liverpool.

Best of luck Brendan, man - with that shower of effing clowns who call themselves Champions, you'll need it. A good portion of the spine of this team have seen off two managers, some more.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
At least Legia and Malmo are full timers. If this doesn't force a major overhaul we might as well pack up and chuck it. The fans who bought the season tickets deserve better.
True but most people thought we should beat those teams.

Admittedly this is a new low but that's what you get when you buy the way we have done. Leigh Griffiths is our best striker. Fair play to him, he has done amazingly well but he's a long way off guys like PvH, Cadete, Viduka, Larsson, Sutton, Hartson and Hooper.

If you take the case that this slide has happened all over the park, we are watching Macari-era talent trying to get it done.
Even allowing for that tonight, what did you think of the effort or commitment shown by players.

I have never been so angry at a player as I was with both Biton & Efe. Biton doesn't care, that was obvious last season in the amount of games he chucked it. Tonight he made Regi Blinker look like Billy Bremner. Not wanting to put himself in harms way in case he get an injury that might scupper his move.

And as for Efe, if BR knew anything then surely its not to let this guy anywhere near a Celtic strip.

I was delighted that BR got the job, he was who I wanted. Tonight however he MUST take his share of the responsibility for our most embarrassing result ever.

Not only is the standard of player dropped you have to wonder given the way things are in world football why some of them are at our club. You'll have some that see us as a stepping stone. Some that have failed elsewhere due to injury or whatever and see us a a chance to redeem themselves. Some who are too comfy and don't have any ambition other than to be a Celtic player so they can lord it about town. Some who are talented enough to go places but are also flawed either physically or mentally so won't do any better than us.

We are a club of misfits. It's like the effing Raggydolls.

I think some of them believe they are more talented than they are and play accordingly.

Nothing tonight comes anywhere near justifying the exhilaration of his appointment. Looked just as clueless as the man before him. Shown up by a semi-pro outfit. It's not even as if we put out a 'new' team of players who still have to get used to each other, it was the same collection of chumps we've had to put up with for two years. effing lamentable.

Considering retirement
[ * * * * * * * * * * * ]
Abysmal, bobbly unwatered pitch which we KNEW was coming, we play a system designed knock it through them.
Importance of set pieces in such a scenario totally undermined by having Christie and Brown on them first half making a complete arse of them.
40 goal striker on the wing.
No attempt to play more direct on such a pitch with a front two using your new 6ft+ striker until he's withdrawn and replaced with the next guy.
Best attacking player of the second half of last season getting zero minutes.
McGregor with zero minutes despite being made to look like Toni Kroos by his midfield peers last season .
Ambrose in the line up.
Forrest, effing FORREST, brought on to try to change things.

And the charge of the light brigade right from kick off to try and intimidate? Embarrassing beyond words.

He better buck up his ideas fast, because that tonight was one brainfart after another.

I think it's too early to give him pelters... but it wouldn't be too early if Bitton, Efe and Brown all start next week. And if Forrest is stripped...

Unless we pump them ;)

If he wants to make a statement of intent, he has to drop Brown.

Even though he should drop Brown, he wont. Dropping him might make him lose the dressing room.

He's smart enough to learn a hell of a lot from tonight. I'm absolutely confident that we will see a big turnover in the first 11 very very soon.

He will be furious with that tonight and utterly utterly embarrassed.

Will he eff  sadly. He shat it from Gerrard to his long-term detriment, and he'll make the same mistake that Deila did with Brown - he'll trust him to set the tone.

Spot on. His leadership and drive used to compensate for his limited ability. Now that is gone too so no reason to play him

I don't think he will but, again, he was miles off the pace tonight. If he's not fit, don't play him.

I realise Brendan thinks he has to play it a certain way in the media but he got the tone all wrong tonight. He needs to know that is our worst defeat ever.
