Apparently an excellent day at Lennoxtown

In previous seasons the players where given days off etc 2 days in advance

Today, Brendan had there rota up for the full month of June and July

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
First training session after O'Neill took over he took Scheidt aside and said something along the lines of him being the worst professional footballer he'd seen in his entire career as a player and a manager and that he would make sure he never played for Celtic again.
Pretty shampoo, tbh.
Maybe took that from Cloughie?

Sounds like something Cloughie might come away with.
Anyway, I agree - let's hope he really lays down the law... New Sheriff in town!

C'mon, I do that at my work for a hell of a lot less!

Let's hope he does a bit more for his money, than putting out a rota.

Agree. No need to say that to a player. Why attempt to shatter his confidence, just drop him and let him move on.

Maybe to leave him under no illusion that he needs to find another club and he won't be getting a chance so there is no point in even thinking about it...

Or trying to get the player to prove you wrong?

Cool, so will he start earning his £28k per week, now that he has his primary school breakfast on the menu again?

Also sends a message to other members of the squad that you dont eff with the boss! maybe old fashioned but it proved to be effective.
I shed no tears for Shiedt and his ego.

He actually said to Scheidt "you and me are very similar, you can do everything that I can do, unfortunately I'm 50 years old with dodgy knees"

Hopefully he's done a MON v Scheidt to a few players today.
what was that then?
Not heard that one..

He should have called in the fraud squad, 5.5 million for a non football player, some folk made a nice wee killing from that deal.
Aye, they signed him after watching a video, lol, some are very naive.

Albeit he then played in several friendly games for us after that

And how many competitive games did he play exactly?

You'll note I also didn't say it was a verbatim quote

I think it was on a preseason tour in Ireland where O'Neill expressed his belief that Scheidt was proper shengus.

Was it true that he said "I like central defenders that aren't you"?

Big Erik seems so keen. He's been putting up videos of him training himself, as have a few other lads. Good attitude!
Noticed a few of our players had been going to PT sessions during summer

Good to see
Training with the jags? Wouldn't think BR would be ok with that......

Was Mulgrew at training today?
No sign of Mulgrew, Izzy, Johansen, Bitton, or Scepovic in the pics. The first four were playing international football over the summer (but so was Rogic who was there today).

Also no sign of the players who were injured at the end of the season - Boyata, Simunovic, Commons, GMS.

Had read Fisher was out of contract but he was there today.
