RD said it in an interview, JFK was in charge of defensive & set pieces All covered in John Kennedys own thread
Fair dos, either needs to be moved away from that role or improve a great deal because we were beyond shampooe at set pieces this season. Ronny was the manager who decided how to set them up, how they should play with/without the ball, the marking system, the players, and all the rest of it.
Kennedy might have taken training in those areas, but it's still to instruction - that was a cop out from Ronny at the time as we were losing hunners of goals and changing eff all.

I've been swept along with the waves of enthusiasm since the arrival of Rodgers and can't wait for the season to start. The positivity and togetherness of all stakeholders seems pretty unique in my experience. So my question to the longer standing members of kerrydalestreet is this; has there ever been a time where those that follow Celtic have been so unanimously in favour of one decision? I remember the elation and excitement of the O'Neil appointment but I don't imagine we had access to as many views as we do now with the growth of online communications. Happy days indeed.

Looks like he isn't messing about. Stokes away, CKR rumoured to be away as is Scepovic. Rumours Commons offski's as well. Surely that will free about 30K or so a wee? Hopefully Mulgrew's wage becomes available as well.

Rodgers would have been daft not to use Kennedy's knowledge of the players and the club.It is good that he's accepted because it's getting close to the time when he will go out on his own On what basis would anybody take a chance on JK just now as a Manager?
What makes you think it is getting close to the time when he will go out on his own?

Not all of us are unanimously in favour of his appointment............... Am not as convinced as many about Rodgers, but very happy about the signal it sends out that things are changing. MON's appointment wasn't as cut and dried either at the time, we were chasing Hiddink remember and many thought he'd have been the better choice.

Not all of us are unanimously in favour of his appointment............... Season ticket sales without a signing would beg to differ, 13k in the ground on his arrival almost on a par with MON. Let's see what he brings fellah

Not all of us are unanimously in favour of his appointment............... The word "unanimously" is redundant .But pedantry aside I doubt if Celtic fans have ever been unanimous about anything. Even when Jock Stein was appointed I can remember hearing a few murmurs in the pubs about him being the first protestant manager, but that may have been as close to unanimous as we are ever likely to get. My gut feeling is that BR has the support of around 95% of fans, but that's just a wild guess.

Are you Laurie from Denniston? bit harsh that mate, he never said "Glasgow Celtic" sixteen times. Don't worry alibhoy you're far more interesting to listen to than Laurie . Laurie would take 850 words to ask what you did, and would need to say "I wonder what the panel thinks of..." every four sentences.
The bold Laurie clearly wanted to be a wordsmith, didn't he?
