john kennedy was well liked by the players

the problem was rd and jc

JK will also be able to advise BR on who was influencing the dressing room unrest.
Where do his loyalties lie though? Genuine question, if he's close to some of the players he may well not want to do that. Shouldn't be too difficult for BR to work out on his own right enough.

A distinct line has to be drawn between management and players as regards pallyness. If some of the players were actually around the club when JK was playing then there could be some awkwardness but JK has to be seen to back his manager 100% and if that means expressing misgivings at some player's behaviour in the dressing room then so be it.

Wasn't Kennedy in charge of defending set pieces under Deila? We could sure use his valuable expertise in that area.

RD said it in an interview, JFK was in charge of defensive & set pieces

All covered in John Kennedys own thread

Deila said so.

Can't imagine Collins doing that role

Fair dos, either needs to be moved away from that role or improve a great deal because we were beyond shampooe at set pieces this season.

The great Ronny, a legend in his own lunchtime, was a central defender was he no :ponder:

And a recognised improver of players, according tae SPLOB.

I'm pretty sure he'd have managed tae screw things up very well, all by himself :twitch:

Couldn't agree more

He's far too young & inexperienced for that role

Can we maybe just trust BR's judgement or are we now going down the "How much is he in charge anyway" road?

Anybody know what John Parks role will be in all of this? It was somewhat blurred previously, but with BR assembling his own back room team I assume he may be surplus to requirements?

Couldn't give a eff if he was liked or not. If he was responsible for some of last seasons defending he should have gone.

I'm excited about who he could bring in after the Euros.

Reminds me of the MON appointment in 2000.
I'm willing to bet we will have ourselves a Belgian centre back at the end of the Euros once again.

What is Jason Denayer up to these days anyway? I take it he won't be getting in Man City's team anytime soon?

Wouldn't be surprised to see him back at Hibs.
