Depends on what type of person you are - can you chat to a guy you've never met before about fitba? Given you're Scottish and can speak then the answer must be yes lest you've got crippling anxiety in which case just say "Fuxake Mulgrew" or "Wellinbigyin" and people will think you're OK. Just be alright and crack the occasional funny and you'll make friends, which works everywhere and not just a football match.

Talking to people at the fitba FFS :ffs: too many needy feckers in our support these days.

After the guy sitting next to you has served his full 2 season probation period without being annoying he's earned a nod of recognition at the beginning of the match and a brief "FFS that was shampooe, see you at the next game" as you exit at the end.
Handshakes are permitted on the first game of the season and the new year game.
Brief manly hugs are permitted after significant goals (last minute winners, taking the lead against superior CL opposition or scoring against any incarnation of Deidco), but if a hug accidentally lasts more than 3 seconds one party must relocate to a different part of the stadium at the first opportunity.

I have sat in the same seat for 14 years, and only found out the guy next to (with whom I have shared a considerable number of manhugs, particularly against the pre-death zombies) was called Colin around two years ago. And that was because an anniversary message was shown on the big screen at half time.

I got a three match package for the CL games in the season we beat Barca. Kissed the guy next to me on the cheek in the Spartak game after Hooper's goal. Was awkward.

LOL! Yep.

My missus - "who's that guy that sits near you?"
Me - "I dunno."
Her - "You dunno?! How long have you known each other?!"
Me - "More than 10 years?"

I've been sitting next to a guy in my lectures for three years and I know only his first name, nothing else about him really. We see each other once a week and talk about Celtic - that's all we need.

You'll soon get to know the folks around you.
X2

I've sat by myself the last two seasons. Got to know, and drink with a couple of guys beside me.
Same here

Unless Mr.Bodom is across, then I'll go and sit with him. The handsome bastard that he is.
