Happy about this, if only for the new-found enthusiasm among the support. That is good enough reason in itself. Hope he is willing to try different ways of playing, at Swansea he was very stubborn. We might need different approaches in Europe and domestically. Agree with those who say that this isn't a complete break from Deila, the two have similarities in how they like to play.
Fine with me, but maybe Rodgers will actually have the team playing the way he likes to play, whereas Deila didn't manage that too often.

Not official until he's pictured in front of Celtic Park with a wean above his heid like a scarf.

Fella posted a song on facebook about him.

It's no Rodgers and Hammerstein, Rodgers did pen one called 'Pal Joey' :suspect: 'Joey is an opportunistic cad, but he always seems to land on his feet. He elbows his way into a job at a seedy football club' :o
ahuumm...

to the tune of the jackie-mac song;

His name is Brendan Rodgers,

He's a diehard Celtic man,

He's come to manage Celtic,

And we hope ye understand,

His name is Brendan Rodgers,

He's here to build a team,

He's come to Glasgow Celtic and he's proud to wear the green!

Four problems with that:

1. It has good meter
2. It actually rhymes
3. There are no swear words
4. The tune is more than 5 years old.

So young fans won't have a clue how to sing it. ;)

Btw has anyone got a link to the YNWA song at CP on Monday :ponder: Not seen it yet but heard Rodgers was just about crying :ponder:

Welcome Chris. Now with his arrival and JK most likely staying, will there be any other backroom staff added :ponder:

Reading that article about Chris, all the games he's watched, looking at strengths & weaknesses of players - tactical awareness, attitude even.
He should be able to offer up some really good potential signings.

Sounds like we'll have a very thorough & dedicated coaching team.
I genuinely hope that they don't suffer fools easily & aren't afraid to cut out the underachievers.
Wait till he's sent out to watch Motherwell and Kilmarnock to give Brendan a 10 page report on the way they play.

He'll come back crying.

Oh I don't know about that!

He'll see plenty of guys that can foul equally well with either foot.
Guys who refer to use their right elbow instead of their left at corners coming in from the opposite side.
Teams that pass the fouling duties around three or four guys, think Murderwell, Killie, Farts just about every tea in the four leagues!

He'll be kept busy alright
