We have. To spend it on more pish.

Could have kept Ledley and Hooper for starters, then there's the umpteen players we will have passed on because they wanted paid more than Broony and Lawwell, the folk we've decided against because their club wanted 200k more, or a bigger sell on. Plus there will have been players patched because Dudu had someone a bit cheaper, we've owed him a favour, etc.

They have tried to scrape by, make millions off players and get into the CL with the minimum outlay possible. We're in this nick with a squad of nearly 40 because it didn't work and they started chasing wins like some mad punter at a roulette machine on a Friday.
you don,t half talk some pish , away and lie doon :ffs: why is everything always lawwells fault, now we have rodgers as manager oh aye dermot stepped in and done the biz
Because he's the gaffer ffs. He runs the show. Desmond's left him to do it - he's as much at fault.

You're aff yer nut if you think we're in the position we're in now because of anything other than their idea that we can sell everybody good & replace them with £1-£2m players & qualify with a gelling squad every year.

Desmond's done nothing yet but a start. We'll see if Rodgers gets hit with carrots like Ciftci and Bangura though.

When is someone going to have a wee word with him about the insane levels of his tan?
He's been on holiday since October.
At least he hasn't gone full Jimmy Calderwood. Yet.

I like the fact that the lad who uses a wean as a scarf has to be told to stop by this missus who drags the wean back to the horizontal.

I wonder if he lobs the wee fella onto the pitch after a particularly bad defeat!
Have to admit I did size up my 5 year old but thought better of it as a) he's a sturdy wee fecker and b) he would do a Lee Wallace and tell his maw

Something quite papal about this image. Is it the crests on the scarf?

It's because he's one step down from God.

I have absolutely nothing against John Kennedy but I would rather not see him in the first team dugout again.
Is that not a wee bit irrational?
Not really no.
Yes it is. If you don't want him as a coach you must have something negative to say about him as a coach.

I think it will simmer down a bit for a while as he gets into the job, however once the season starts...

Since last Friday I keep going over in my mind the moment when he's introduced at the first regular home game. It will be mayhem!

Indeed. Folk getting a wee bit premature in their euphoria. Hopefully we're not going to land with too much of a thump.

I think we could be big enough to let Ronny do that.

Speak for yourself.

I'm doing my best to blot out the last 10 months by way of copious amounts of alcohol.

Don't want to undo all of that good work.

Seeing as Ronny's team won it, it would be 'strange' to see a completely new manager enjoy the glory. If not Ronny then I suggest, as a compromise, we let Danny McGrain unfurl the flag. Everyone's happy!
