He looks so refreshed and ready to go. End of his Liverpool era he looked a beaten man. Last night he has that look about him that he's ready for this. I'm so buzzing and excited by this. His teams play magnificent exciting football.

The word fenian isnt offensive but if you call someone a fenian B then id say that's someone being racist or sectarian against race and or religion.
On previous research the word was established for groups who wanted a united Ireland. And to me thats just a nonsense to be bringing this into football for 2 people who are Northern Irish.
But thats only my opinion and i wouldn't get to upset with people signing it. whats all this 'Northern Irish'? Irish is Irish as far as I'm concerned

whats all this 'Northern Irish'? Irish is Irish as far as I'm concerned Remember Ali G interviewing some Democratic Unionist bod a few years ago in Belfast.
"Are you Irish or British then" quoth the bold Ali.
"British of course" replied the Unionist.
"So are you here on holiday then?" says Ali.

Speaking to the official Celtic website, Brendan Rodgers said: “I have been told that around 13,000 fans came to the stadium yesterday and I can’t tell you what that kind of welcome means to me. It was a fantastic sight and truly humbling.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank each and every supporter who took time out of their day and made it such a special occasion for myself and for my family. It showed what a very special football club we have.
“Our fans are everything and the passion and commitment you have for the club is absolutely wonderful and something which is our real strength.
“As I said yesterday, our work starts now and everyone at the club will be working together and doing all we can to bring our fans the kind of success which your support deserves.”
“You’ll Never Walk Alone!”

For me there was also a look in his eyes of "OMG I've actually agreed to this".
I think new managers go through the motions of "I've followed them since boyhood"/"I know they are a world class football club"/"It's more than a football club" etc but it's only when you actually experience over 10,000 people turning up for your introduction that you begin to get an semblance of what it's actually like to be the manager of Celtic Football Club Nah. I thought the look in his eyes was more "Oh My God. These supporters are incredible".

First time in a long time (ever?) we've actually went out and shown a bit of ambition as champions.
For too long we've had this crap about not being able to compete drilled into us. We know we can't spend the same as English teams, but that doesn't mean any old crap will do.
The first step in getting to the CL is acting like a CL team. Looks like we're doing that.
It's a load of shampoo. We've always had the money to spend, and withholding proper spending of it has downsized attendances, the squad and the level we should be competing at most (if not every) season. No one is under any delusion that we have crazy money to spend, like our spoiled, inflated cousins from the south. But the teams we're likely to face in the qualifiers have next to nothing to spend, and we usually put out a team £20 million richer against them...and still lose! Compared to them, we've got it good. Brendan is a fantastic appointment but it means diddly squat if we're not going to back him. And that's not just with bringing the proper calibre of player in, he needs assistance in shifting the bloated underachievers and deadwood that's stifling our squad at the moment. The job's only half done for the coming season. "We've always had the money to spend"
Really?
That's not the impression I got when I reviewed Celtic's latest financials.

It's not how much we spend - it's how we spend it that's the problem. Too much gambling on the football equivalent of effin scratchcards.

Something quite papal about this image. Is it the crests on the scarf?
It's because his hairline looks like a zucchetto and the scarf looks like a pallium. Please tell me you googled all of that patter!

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
"We've always had the money to spend" Really? That's not the impression I got when I reviewed Celtic's latest financials.

We've spent it on pish, no doubt, but my post was mostly in response to the statement that we've withheld money for some reason.
That's not the case.
