Brian McDermott will be getting an inferiority complex.

No-one seems to want to work for him for long.

Never heard of Chris Davies.

Sounds similar to Rodgers in that he retired young through injury and went straight into coaching.

See if that rumoured £15M budget is true, I think it's pretty decent. That, plus the sales we make on shampooe like Johansen and that, could see us with a budget of £20-23M. I can't see us ever spending that right enough, but it does seem as if we held back when the huns were in the Championship n that

During the build up to a new manager signing, I was for Moyes, then Lenny, then Moyes, then mibbes try someone out of the norm but then no, that never worked last time!! Anytime that Brendan Rogers was mentioned I really felt that it was a no go as I was sure that he was destined for a return to EPL or at worst Championship. Then when the odds shortened and it became a possibility I started to wonder about his motives. After watching yesterdays fun in the sun, I've got to say that I'm mightily impressed in the way that the whole thing has been dealt with. He sounds and looks like the part. I just hope that he's in it for the long haul. Welcome to Celtic Brendan. Here's hoping for great things.

Chris Davies seems an intelligent young guy, a very decent article here, gives a good insight into the workings of our Brendan as well..

We've definitely spent within our means the last few years, but this idea that we've been saving for the huns coming back just doesn't add up.

There's no black holes in the accounts with money buried away. The difference now is we're actually pushing the boat out in the hope people are drawn back and it'll be recouped.

Really delighted with the appointment of Brendan and the subsequent buzz this has caused. It has truly reinvigorated what was a very disillusioned support. The buzz alone I think will automatically improve things on the park even with the current squad but I do not think that CL qualification is a foregone conclusion. Champions route or not there is no underestimating how difficult it is to negotiate 3 qualifiers 2 of which may be against tricky opposition. That is before you factor in it is our 1st competitive games of a season and the fact you have a new manager, Brendan will have his work cut out. None of our recent managers have managed that feat or had a good European debut season.

With this in mind as excited as I am about the upcoming season, it wont suddenly turn to disappointment should we not make the groups 1st time round. What i'd expect to see this coming season from BR and Celtic is:

Marked improvement in performances and results domestically.
Title is obviously a must.
European progress, be it qualifying for the CL groups or a decent showing in the Europa.
To end the season looking forward in excitement for the following.

The word fenian isnt offensive but if you call someone a fenian B then id say that's someone being racist or sectarian against race and or religion.

On previous research the word was established for groups who wanted a united Ireland. And to me thats just a nonsense to be bringing this into football for 2 people who are Northern Irish.

But thats only my opinion and i wouldn't get to upset with people signing it.

Watching it all over again. Very impressed by the way the club handled the whole publicity around it. Summer Harl is a major asset with Celtic TV, however they need to get a better studio design!

I think it's more like we'll be spending the same amount of money, but if a player the manager wants wants, say, £5k more than Broony, Lawwell won't be able to step in & ruin things - it's Rodgers' budget to spend as he wishes - not to be told how to spend it.

Ronny would have been getting hit with 'Aye, well we tried, but he's a greedy bastard. Wanted paid more than me. What do ye make of it?  Why not choose from this list of ***** even avid FM players won't have heard of? I'll maybe even get you two if you don't greet...'
