I couldn't get down to CP last night after work. Some of those clips and pics are pretty amazing. Place looked bouncing. :rocker:

It looks like some supporters have awoken from a slumber and are starting to give a eff again. STs should be flying off the shelves next week. Could be the start of something special.

As an aside, I had to unfollow that lassie from Celtic TV on Twitter. Timeline was filled with her batting away tweets from pent-up teenagers and creepy guys. Hunners of them.
..says the guy with the Quagmire avatar....

First time in a long time (ever?) we've actually went out and shown a bit of ambition as champions.

For too long we've had this crap about not being able to compete drilled into us. We know we can't spend the same as English teams, but that doesn't mean any old crap will do.

The first step in getting to the CL is acting like a CL team. Looks like we're doing that.
It's a load of shampoo. We've always had the money to spend, and withholding proper spending of it has downsized attendances, the squad and the level we should be competing at most (if not every) season. No one is under any delusion that we have crazy money to spend, like our spoiled, inflated cousins from the south. But the teams we're likely to face in the qualifiers have next to nothing to spend, and we usually put out a team £20 million richer against them...and still lose! Compared to them, we've got it good. Brendan is a fantastic appointment but it means diddly squat if we're not going to back him. And that's not just with bringing the proper calibre of player in, he needs assistance in shifting the bloated underachievers and deadwood that's stifling our squad at the moment. The job's only half done for the coming season.

He ensures that the headless chicken formation in defence is properly all over the place every time the ball comes near the box.

Ok, I think we can move on from this particular long and winding Fenian road.

Even if you don't agree with the use of the word Fenian in a Celtic song, I'm sure the difference between that song and the term "Fenian bastard" is patently obvious to everyone.
KDS's Atticus Finch at his best
But is the wrong road? It's the road to God knows where.

Regards this being a DD signing, didn't Brendan Rodgers say in the press conference that the first person that called him to ask if he was interested in the job was Peter Lawwell?

Obviously, he might have made that call on the behest of Desmond, but I'm not sure there's any real evidence either way to say who had the bigger involvement.

Or am I missing something? :suspect:

He kept saying Dermot and had to keep adding Peter in, as if Peter had nearly eff all to do with it but he's the CEO, so he feels he should involve him

With respect mate, that's interpretation, not evidence.

Don't want to get bogged down in a pointless Lawwell debate though. Was just curious if there was actually any proof.

I think PL had more involvement in this than what many people would like to believe.

I hoped to turn it on yesterday and see DD sitting beside BR with PL nowhere to be seen.

Hopefully DD was just giving him his place. Doesn't really matter right enough, but it suggests that PL isn't going anywhere for a while.

Obviously you haven't read the script. When something bad happens, PL is responsible. When something good happens, DD or the manager are responsible

I'm far from PL's biggest fan, but I see no reason on current evidence to doubt that he had a role in this. Credit where it's due.

Delighted that we have Brendan in place. Must admit I was still quite astonished that 10k+ showed up to greet him.
