As happy as i am tonight, i'm realistic to know that Brendan has a job on his hands to get into the champions league.

We have a fair amount of talent in the squad, but not enough of the type who roll the sleeves up when the going gets tough.

I think we need a minimum of 4 players to go into the team.

Any idea why John Kennedy is remaining ?
He's well liked within the club and players and also highly thought of as a coach. He'll be an important link to Rodgers as he knows the players better than anyone.

Any reason why he should leave?

He was a coach at Celtic before Ronny arrived, so no reason for him to go with him. Dunno if he'll remain a first team coach or be working with the kids TBF, but there will still be a role for him if he wants it.

Some of the videos of the stadium earlier are amazing.

Really chuffed he's our new guy. He speaks very, very well. Hope to God he delivers.

Is a good time to be green and white, three cracking days of football and not a ball kicked. Topped off by a fab time at Celtic park arrived in time for Brendan to arrive. My daughters first time inside the stadium. The sun shone and we all sang songs.

I'm glad the misgivings about BRFA have been brought up. It has always been a mystery to me that it's deemed okay by some for us to use the f word but highly offensive for others to. No doubt someone with deeper knowledge will explain to me why.

eff sake he's bigger than Celtic Park. 😆
Dare I say it, he's more of a Celtic man than some
of our greatest managers. RD won two leagues playing with fear
after poor CL results, Brendan will win the next one easy...and then get better.
Let's get this season started 👍

Bit like Spurs fans singing Yid army, it's just a way of fans reclaiming something that is used to taunt them.

Any news on BR's backroom staff and if Kennedy will be part of youth or not :ponder:

Incredible scenes today. Best club in the world. :worthy:

Black folk using the N word springs to mind as well. Words themselves aren't offensive. It's the context in which they're used.

I'm aware that this could just be a product of Rodgers doing is research before today, but the way he speaks is as if one of us got the job. Incredible to hear.

Even at it's most cynical interpretation, that he's just reeling off names of the past, and alluding to the club's history on a regular basis, in order to sound the part, it still shows that he really wants to be in the position he is in today. I don't think even Martin O'Neill made such an entry to the club.

Absolutely over the moon.

It's also because BR is Irish though - that's the issue - not the militant reclaiming of language - which I'm all for BTW - but we never were Ronny D's FA ( not even for a wee while) or WGS's

Reserving this for Irish manager or players a la Paddy McCourt - is in my view not the same

Cant really afford a season ticket with the wee one on the way. I didn't really expect to be able to find time or money next year for a few games and after this year wasn't too bothered either. Will definitely be trying to save a little bit every month or 2 to take in at least 1 game.
