Bit of togetherness and good will at long last, first couple of signings and hopefully player sales will really get things going - expecting very healthy ST sales in the next few days too.

Can I just say though, I won't be singing 'Brendan Rodgers Fenian Army'

Cause I'm an not one nor am I in any army - and as its just cause he's from Ireland quite frankly, it's a bit shampoo - same when it was Paddy McCourts
 Couldn't agree more.
+1 Brendan Rodgers green and white army sounds better.
The puddle drinkers did that first so I think I'll stick to Fenian army.

Exciting times. He comes across very relaxed and confident. even if he was a tad bemused by some of the journo pish and Summer's Boudoir.

Pretty obvious he was a Desmond appointment from some of his comments.

Lawwell looks like he has aged 5 years in less than a year. Maybe feeling the pressure from DD (Would love to say and the fans but not sure he gives a flying eff what we think). He should get out or be removed before he burns out.

Great scenes. Hope he qualifies for the CL or would be pretty depressing know that back of that. It's definitely a tough ask and usually we are shampooe under a new boss' first season in Europe. We are due someone to come in and storm it
It shouldnt be difficult though. We are in the "easier" side of the draw. With a semi competent manager and proper backing we should walk into the CL.
I think CL qualification will be a real challenge this year.
I'm not confident at all. I hope that's just because the last few years have took any European optimism out of me.

Even to the dimmest in the smsm it should now be obvious after that reception why BR choose Celtic. You dont grow up immersed in Celtic without realising what it means to thousands. BR is a smart man.

We've the luxury of the 'Champions Route'.

We've finally got a competent manager in. I don't think we'll skoosh it, but we'll get there.

Qualifying for the CL is not a given.... the squad will need improvements in key areas and I hope BR gets backed to do that.

The excitement of the day has been fantastic. The first big challenge is getting a team together which will get us to the group stages of the CL; that's a lot of work to do in a short space of time.

Can't really remember but did Rodgers not say something along the lines of being pragmatic in the qualifiers? There was definitely a question about it.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
He certainly didn''t look like the cat that got the cream today - Almost the opposite in fact.

Not involved until DD had his man in the bag would seem to be DD ensuring there was no feck up as per his previous record - If he is still peddling his Deila Project pish then no other carrot is listening to him.

Time for Celtic to move on and recover from his handiwork post MON - Question is will the CEO be moving on?
Desmond PLC good,Lawwell PLC bad is one of the weirdest slants on proceedings.
Not really

The fact is that dermot Plc brought us MoN strachan Lennon and Brendan as dermot stepped in and took control of the board - when he left the most critical decisions to lawwell we got awful managers and whilst the policy was always the same when Lawwell had his puppet managers he got to make decisions on squad and players he should have been nowhere near and which no proper manager would allow

Those days are over now

Ps is it true he didn't get the Sunderland job - can't understand why they didn't see how good he is - surely they didn't rate Bain higher than him ??? If so and I still can't believe that (I thought it was a joke) it would explain the face on him

Just watch the video of today

He knows what it's about

Glad we have a manager everyone can now get behind

Hope he will get the crowds back and have us playing good, winning football again

This feels like something big

He's the man
