He was brutal for the majority of the match on sunday
Harsh. 19 year old playing out of position in an intimidating atmosphere. Very good second half when he moved in one. Great block on Morelos too (although the diddy may well have missed anyway).

Good on him getting a full call up. Must admit that I’m still not convinced about him as a defender. He’s young and will learn but his positioning can be suspect at times and he’s not very dominant in the air for his size. Hopefully he improves but still have a feeling that he’s more a central midfielder

Played out of position and probably should have been asked to sit deeper than he did by the manager. Was fine in the second half, though.
Once Hendry came on he played well and saved us. But as a right back his positioning was off and he didnt have the pace to recover . He was sitting way too high and didnt even offer an attacking threat so no idea why he was that high up.
Second goal was partly down to his poor positioning.
Aye its almost as if he isnt a RB, weird that.

19 and he's being judged to the same standard as international players 10 years his senior is excellent going for the lad. Really believe he can be the future of our defence alongside KT.

Respectfully beg to differ about his dominance in the air. I'm not a statistician, but from watching him in games much more often than not he wins the long ball punted forward. I always specifically look for that trait because I grew up watching the likes of Mjallby, Balde and Valgaeren sweep up every high ball and lament the lack of players that are actually good at that.

Glad he got a call up. Still raw with a lot to learn but can only get better. His passion is immense - the way he celebrates throw ins and corners!

He's got a bit of a personality on the field, he'll get involved, mouth off and enjoy himself, good to see, has a winner's intensity with it.

and he would be my pick to take the arm band when Broony retires as well. Granted that is based on him continuing to improve. :ph43r:

I think KT will have a shout for the armband when Broony retires.

Will be a tough call if Ajer continues his development in the same pace.

I think KT is a stick on but I think Ajer might be more suited to the role. It's a weird one - he just looks and acts like a captain despite being a 19 year old converted midfielder.

If you watch Windass' goal it's Ajer that makes up the most ground, absolutely belts it back.

He was given the armband for a short period back in Norway for the first team when he was 16.

I can imagine he has been styling himself to be a captain ever since.

If you are a young player it’s unlikely you will reach your full physical potential around 25.Guys coming through in their late teens and early 20’s are all still developing physically. They should be judged fairly until they reach their mid twenties, then they can be considered pish and held accountable for every minor error.

We're looking to give him a new long-term contract according to the papers. Well deserved if true, he could be a big player for us for years.

getting him tied down is one of the most pressing things on our to do list I'd say. been so good and only going to get even better. would be a shame to lose him too early. he should be here for 10IAR at least
