I think we can put the "He's a midfielder" chat away now.
He can be both, surely.

For the second goal his direct run destroyed Aberdeen’s defensive set up.
A brilliant performance.

Referring to previous cries of "We're having to play Ajer at the back and he's a midfielder" type posts.

Big man's a cracking prospect at CB.

I don't think he's quick enough to play in midfield. When he steps out from the back he has 40 yards to build up his pace, you don't get that in midfield, and he looks like he's bulked up for CB. I'd like to see him tested by a quick, nippy forward line who are in about his feet, but at the moment he's looking very good.

Reminding me of Van Dijk more and more everytime he plays. He deserves an extended run of games. Preferably with Jozo and then Commper after the break.

I think he frightens the life out of the opposition when he goes on those wee runs. He has the size of a centre half but the on the ball ability of a midfielder. It’s hard to stop someone like that when they get going.

Thought he was a wee bit lucky on a couple of occasions today but overall he had an excellent game & deserves to keep his place.

Keeps impressing. Seems to be very calm which is impressive for a guy of his age, good on the ball too... keep it up big man.

He was MOTM for me today. Won almost everything in the air versus Rooney. Big powerful bastard when he brings the ball out of defence as well and helped create the 2nd. Exciting prospect and wouldn't be surprised to see him paired with the German fella come the new year.

Gallus big fecker, certainly no feart to bring the ball out from the back. On current form, of the entire defence collectively, he should start more often than not. Still only a wean too yet a seasoned old hatchet man like Rooney just bounced off him.

Mibby we should make deila our Scandinavian scout. Wibble

Hope Jozo doesn't just stroll back into the team. Ajer more than deserves to be there right now.
