He's a big unit, pacy, reads the game well and can pick a pass. Ajer or McCrorie, choose.
I think we are passed those kind of comparisons, no?

What does McCrorie have to do with it?

Thompson singing his praises on Sportscene saying he was brilliant at stepping out of defence and nullyifing the press yesterday. Definitely what is needed to take advantage of the opposition committing too many players in our half when we have the ball.

So can he make it as a centre half with us? It's a problem position for us and with all three of Jozo, Boyata & Big Erik being out injured and talk of all three going, could he step up and make the position his own?

Not so easy against higher level opposition though. Needs more game time to improve.

McCrorie is being held up by quite a few people in the press as this stand out young CB.

I think Ajer is a significantly better prospect.

Yeah, if he gets games like yesterday, he should come along fine.

Why on loan? He's already been out on loan and our centre backs are like china at the moment.

I'd rather put him out on loan and sign a new defender in January.

Ajer needs a lot of first team games at centre half and he aint gonna get them for us right now. Even when he does, it's in games where he's not really tested defensively.

When he becomes a staple in our backline and makes a habit of marauding up the pitch and scaring the shampoo out of the opposition like he did yesterday, can we adopt Fire by the Crazy World of Arthur Brownas his song. God, I'd love to hear 60,000 folk belting that out. Would be hilarious.

I still think he needs a lot more time and games. He's good on the ball but he gets too tight and uses his hands too much just now. He's a good prospect though.

Honestly think he's the better option domestically to Jozo and Boyata. Very Van Dijk like. Looks totally too good for Scotland already at such a young age. If he can start replicating it at a higher level in a few years we've got a winner.

I very much want to see him get more chances, hasn't let himself/us down yet & is very, very mature.
We really need to play these guys, when we have them - or we'll lose the chance to attract them (Moussa & some others).
He was/is very highly regarded in youth level football, similar to KT in that he captained his last Club, we pulled off a good signing with him & he's not disappointed - love to see more of him.

When's his contract up, I'd like to see him get signed up longer - wouldn't want to lose him.
