No idea why folk feel the need to qualify their view that Tierney is better by pointing this out. It's like they feel they are doing Izzy a disservice or something by admitting it.

We're lucky to have two very talented full backs at different stages in their careers.
Left-backs at that

Agree about Erik in Europe.

Not so much Tierney. BMG was a bad day for all concerned and Barca are Barca who deliberately attacked him.
It's a weird argument when people cite the Barca game as an example of how KT is 'nowhere near good enough for Europe yet' when the whole team lost 7-0 and the best player of arguably all time lined up against him. Does seem a tad overreaction when you consider that you're only going to play against that level of player when you play 1 team. Most of the other right wingers/inside forwards in Europe i'd be confident KT could hold his own against.
I know! He's effing 19!

Huns: Ach well, he's obviously pish cos he didn't play well against the best side anyone's seen in a effing generation, WATP' ' An he's only worth 2 mill, no like oor Barry, pyoor mullyins Timmy!'

I wasn't greeting at anything. I simple point out to people who get their bollocks in a twist when a previous fans favourite is replaced by a better player.

Same happens with dembele/Griffiths. It's very very obvious when some folk get a wee bit upset about certain players.
Tierney is a better player than izaguirre. He still has deficiencies in his game though.
Tierney is a better player than Izzy but Izzy is still the 2nd best left back in Scotland, AND Izzy gets us as well, despite growing half a world away he obviously loves Celtic.

Not sure why we can't be proud of and like both :ponder:

There is something truly rare going on at Parkhead however, as full-back Kieran Tierney currently wears boots which are entirely black.

The days of traditional black boots being the norm are long gone that anyone wearing them now are the exception.

This is from DR article on Huns players wearing Green boots.

Think this stems from when he played in youths when Lennon was manager. All youths were told they had to wear black boots only.

Knowing KT, he probably already only wore black boots anyway.

I love the black boots too. It just seems such a positive throwback.

I love seeing pictures from training when you see polar bears standing around shivering in the cold then you see Broony and KT strolling around in shorts and short sleeved shirts as if it's a bright sunny day. They could post in the Manly thread in the general forum every day of the week as they are a pair of Chuck Norris's. Grrrr

Three different lacerations, could have ended his career with that tackle.

Shocking, utterly disgusting tackle.

The straight leg tackle was a shocker and deserved a red but it wasn't the only bad tackle on Tierney today. He's been on the end of a few off the ball barges & poor tackles since he's come back from injury. Teams and players seem to be targetting him.

I couldn't believe Brendan's take on it. Hopefully once he sees it again he will revisit his initial opinion.
