I reckon Tierney would happily spend the rest of his career with us.

I also reckon anyone that willingly names themselves 'rugbybhoy' is for the watching.
Unless he's from the town of Rugby?
 😃

Immense again tonight. Great balls in and seems to be beating his man with ease. Agree he has definitely bulked up too. The sky is the limit with this boy..

That cross late on from just inside their half right on to Sinclair was outstanding.

Put in a lot of good crosses just in front of the keeper but nobody gambled.

Came on to say the same thing - it was a thing of beauty. If it's Dembele there, that's a goal for sure.

He looks like he's getting faster. Got away from Logan a few times tonight and he's no slouch.

Yeah I was thinking that too. He's looked a little bit quicker since coming back from injury. A delight to see.

An unbelievable ball in. Defender close on him, shifts it ever so lightly to make the angle and flashes it knee high across six yard box. Too fast for the keeper and defenders won't touch it incase of an OG.

If we'd had a striker tonight KT would have had 2 assists.

Yeah, agree with this. Was a part of his game he could improve on and he seems to have done so. The lad really is the real deal and will have a great career whether at us, down South or possibly abroad which I think he may fancy at some point.

Long Buckby? The village that time forgot. Lots of Celts around the area mate. Coventry Emerald SC. Rugby Bhoys watch the games in and around the town, Quigleys, Dirty Duck and the Vic being just three places.

I was about to say he's a brilliant prospect but, nonsense, he's already the real deal. He's a superb young player. I worried that his progression might be stalled by his injury but, in fact, he has upped his game. He is a joy to watch. :worthy:

exactly.

poor against barca, aye it was only messi he had to deal with and the whole team were pish. Poor against BMG?? that game was lost in the midfield who were appalling and left the defence overrun. Man city he was fine.
Against BMG, Tierney and Sviatchenko were utterly woeful. I've genuinely never seen one side of our defense so badly exposed.
Agree about Erik in Europe.

Not so much Tierney. BMG was a bad day for all concerned and Barca are Barca who deliberately attacked him.

It's a weird argument when people cite the Barca game as an example of how KT is 'nowhere near good enough for Europe yet' when the whole team lost 7-0 and the best player of arguably all time lined up against him. Does seem a tad overreaction when you consider that you're only going to play against that level of player when you play 1 team. Most of the other right wingers/inside forwards in Europe i'd be confident KT could hold his own against.

This.
He's no prospect, he's 100% a top footballer and if 'prospect' means he's just young and will only get better, then there's some arguing in that. As it stands, there are few, if any, that I've seen for Celtic (or any Scottish team) at his age, with so much maturity, composure and ability.
The only two that stand above or equal that I can say, were Charlie Nic, and McStay.

Did you deliver milk to the Tierney household on the IoM in or around September 1996?

Some quotes from today's press conference :worthy:

KT on being among the away fans at Ibrox: "Hadn’t been at Ibrox as a fan for a good few years so to be there for a win was brilliant."

KT: "I was in the front row and they were singing my name, and it was just a brilliant day and a brilliant win."

KT on being a fans' favourite: "It's brilliant. I think the fans realise that I just support Celtic like them."

KT: "They saw it at other games, such as Thistle away and Kilmarnock away, when I just turned up to support my team, and it felt good."
