A dream player to watch and I'd imagine also to manage. His future development and his 'stretch' is key to him becoming a great player on the European stage by playing with better players, which sadly, he won't find if he stays with the club. Think he will go in the summer to an EPL club upwards of £25m.

You reckon? If a top six club come in for him he will be gone. Why do you say he'd stay?

Bunch of money obsessives.

He doesn't want to leave. We don't want to sell him.

Plenty of players have become great on the European stage without having to move to England. Pretty sure most of Man City's superstars have been utterly guff at that level most of the years they've qualified for the Champions League. Similarly, there are loads of utterly average players who have won a Champions League medal or played in a World Cup final.

Must be a nightmare for some of you anytime a Celtic player has a run of good form as your head starts to fill with shadowy bastards with English/Russian accents and oversized chequebooks.

I'm not having a go at you personally - but we are seeing all sorts of silly figure being banded about today.

Tierney is good, and has the potential to get better, but he's not at the stage where a top 6 EPL club will come in with that kind of cash.

Rodgers said he turned down an epl team in the summer to sign a new deal at celtic.

Dunno which team but it was rumoured to have been Arsenal

So very wide of the mark.
I'm extremely happy that the stable has produced a player of such a high calibre. Whatever your opinion, money has changed the game in England to a frenzy. Just seen there that Scarrothorpe have rejected a £4m bid for a player.

I would be more disappointed if we sold Tierney than if we sold Dembele because I expect Dembele will leave us sooner rather than later but I'm sure Tierney will be with us for years to come.He probably will go down to England further down the line but if he stayed his career with us he would be very rich ,have legend status with us and probably have a job for life with Celtic. Not really a bad option.

I'd rather talk about the things players do for the team. Larsson left for nothing when we could have cashed in a few years earlier. We 'lost' that £10M or whatever Man Utd were offering, but we got a lot more.

If we could keep our decent players for 7 years the way we did with Lambert, Larsson, Petrov and were in with a shout of some European glory, I think the money follows from that, rather than the desperate urge to cash in.

If a player doesn't want to leave and a club doesn't want to sell him, it's really entering the realms of the ridiculous to speculate about how much he'll be worth in the summer.

Bhoy loves paying for the hoops. easy for him to stay, become captain of 10 in a row and still leave before he is 25. Cant believe people reflect playing in the EPL as the be all and end all. If he kid has ambitions it should be a Barca or Real MAdrid not Arsenal and Liverpool. Celtic give him what he deserves and it shall be

Some folk have a right inferiority complex regarding Celtic. Always in these threads telling us every one of our good players will definitely be off to the EPL at the first/next opportunity.

Effin sick reading it.

Me too. England isn't the centre of the universe. It has been hyped up to eff by Sky and their silly money. The subheading says it all, he loves it here. There's no airs and graces about him either. When he was injured, he sat in with the fans, he is one of us.

I reckon Tierney would happily spend the rest of his career with us.

I also reckon anyone that willingly names themselves 'rugbybhoy' is for the watching.
