Struggling to think of a better left back in the uk currently . He's absolutely brilliant . What a talent
There isn't one. Will be the record transfer fee for a scottish player by some considerable distance if/when he goes.

It's ridiculous the amount of inch perfect crosses the boy puts in. He very rarely wastes a cross and has an F1 engine. Fair bombs up and down the wing.
Alonso and Azpilicueta at Chelsea

Rose at Spurs

Clichy at Man City

Baines at Everton

Bertrand at Southampton

Pieters at Stoke

All better left backs than KT (IMHO). He has the potential.....head and shoulders above anything in the Scottish game. Champions League shows his weaknesses. However, if he continues to develop like he has been doing he'd be right up there with the best. If he can add more goals to his assists that would be another plus.
Add more assists? He has an incredible amount of assists for a defender.

Clichy is effing gash and if it's between him and KT I know who I'd rather have in my team.

Have you been gargling your own pish today?
Izzy was excellent away to Gladbach as well. murphio obviously still smarting from the fact he was wrong about Izzy from the very beginning.
Mate, I have been utterly wrong on many players on here and have been happy to hold my hands up, always. As mentioned overleaf - I said Gary Caldwell was rotten and shouldn't be touched with a bargepole - I lavished praise on him though when he helped us to the last 16 a couple of times and was absolutely outstanding against Man U etc. Isn't that what it's about - giving credit where it's due? I'm certainly not one of these guys who sees something good or bad in a player and sticks to my opinion regardless of the evidence.

No bother mate. I bet your fun to be around at games. Your the guy that constantly berates players for missed placed passes aren't you?
No

It's ridiculous that you can't criticise one aspect of a players game.
You didn't critise 1 part of his game. You said he was nowhere near the level people think and folk are blind to him

Your right I've lost the argument then.

He's pish - can't tackle, pass and his positional sense is shocking. Where's the 1st Diddy epl club looking for a shampooe left back to sign.

Nobody has said he's pish. That would be an utterly ridiculous statement. As is thinking he is the perfect player.

Out of interest why you a big critic?
His defensive positioning is suspect. Torn apart in every game in Europe this season. Even the qualifiers.
He struggled in Europe. Even HBS at home he was given a torrid time.

He's young, he'll learn and he'll improve. Right now he is a very good young player with incredible potential.
Some on here are going a bit overboard with their praise of him. Best left back in Britain being a prime example.

It's quite funny.

I think it's an age thing. If you grew up watching the Lions (all local bhoys), or really any Celtic team prior to the 90's it was always made up of folks like ourselves who were living the dream. We related to them; they represented us. It seemed everyone knew somebody who was friends with, or went to school with, or married a Celtic player. Then came Dave Murray, and the mercenaries arrived in Scottish football.
So it was so nice on Sunday to see Gordon, Tierney, Brown, McGregor, Forrest, Henderson and Aitcheson all appearing in the hoops. The strongest collection of Scottish/homegrown players we have had in years.
You think it's funny. I love it.

He's a very promising young player, and is growing in confidence every time he steps onto the park. It was a great wee moment yesterday when he shared a laugh with the manager on the touchline.

He has a long way to go though before he is considered "the best left-back in Britain". He certainly has all the attributes though.
