Not wishing to derail or mention anything that would put anyone on a downer but has the board factor been mentioned, a large enough bid and anyone is for sale.
Anyone is for sale, some might not move :arrr:

Tierney has a say, as did McGrory.
Money isn't everything to everyone.

That interview is amazing. I'd be delighted if he spent his full career at us.

“When you’re younger some people dream about playing in the English Premier League but I only dreamed about playing for Celtic. It was always a Celtic strip that I wore.”

That quote will stay with him.
I'm pretty sure he knew exactly what he was saying.
Up there with McGrory of Celtic or McGrory of Arsenal.
Thinking of this, if only Charlie Nicholas had the attitude and dedication of Kieran Tierney.

Have we ever sold a star player who didn't actually want to leave?

I really hope Im wrong, but if his progress continues it has I can see somebody making both K.T. and Celtic an offer they cant refuse.Give him two or three years and he will walk into any top five english side.

As for Charlie, with the figures offered from elsewhere compared to Celtic,I wouldnt be to harsh on him

I was reading Bertie Auld's book over Christmas and both times he transferred when he didn't want to leave. Pat Crerand was the same, a good friend of Bertie's and he mentions it in the book also.

Age might have diminished my memory but wasn't Bertie first transferred because he was regarded as a bit of a bad boy

He was good but not in the same bracket as Forster, VVD or Wanyama. Probably took a calculated guess that a functional, hard working midfielder isn't worth the wages.

I don't think we should be entertaining any talk of selling Dembele until at least the summer, and even then only for silly money.

According to his book it was he and Crerand weren't afraid to voices their opinions and the directors who picked the team at the time didn't like their aggressive style on the park.

Davie Hay.
I thought Davie did want to leave, he was getting paid well below what a player of his standard should have been on.
