Get well soon Kieran

Think be will get his shoulder op moved forward now

Plus we have the winter break too
It's the shoulder op required because of the awkard fall he had in the 5-1 game?
Tynecastle I think

Just a shame we never kept Mulgrew around.

On a real downer about this, he has been bar far our most consistent performer since he broke into the team, and his injury means that he is going to lose out in CL experience which is the only arena where, understandably, his inexperience has shown so far.

I really hope that he comes back from this stronger ala larsson rather than ala Kayal or even Izzy who were never the same players after their injuries.

All the best KT

On the bright side, at least Mulgrew is cotnracted to Blackburn so he can't sign a contract to be left back cover...

Disappointing news.

Are people genuinely questioning Izzy's fitness or capacity to play a heavy schedule?

Izzy who was given a week off by NL and refused to take it off and just showed up to training anyway. The guy played non stop for us before Tierney broke through

bad news but izzy will step in no problem. I'm assuming Tierney will have his shoulder op right away now rather than in the new year, so hopefully when h's back he'll be fully fit.

He's not near deaths door. He's out for about eight weeks due to ankle ligament damage. I sincerely doubt that's threatening to curtail him long term.

We've actually been fairly lucky on the injury front this season so far and this particular one happens to be in a position where we have a man who'll burst his balls to do a great job while covering for Tierney.

Hopefully his layoff will give someone a chance to get him a decent song sorted. The European Ultras have some great tunes, sure we could copy one of those.

Anyone know if young McIlduff is ready to step up, in case we need to rotate Izzy every now and again?
