Amazing moment with the whole stadium singing his name.
Tough gig tonight as Sterling looks sensational under Pep. Think there might be one or two full backs who get subbed before half time going up against him. As ever Tierney just wasn't phased. The temptation could've been to sit on the 18 yard line all game, yet he's up gallivanting in the opposition box at every opportunity. What a guy.

Brendan Rodgers, make us dream - Celtic FC.

So much pride knowing he has come through the youth academy and that unlike so many young players who talk about keeping their feet on the ground and improving, he actually appears to be managing it.

According to OPTA he`s got 11 assists in 45 games, not bad for a 19 year old full back. He obviously is accurate where it matters, he could do with a Joe Ledley inside as he rarely has anyone available for the quick pass and return to his right. Izzy in his POTY season quite rightly singled out Joe for his contribution to his very good season.
That can't be right? Seems a little high in terms of assists. Would be delighted if it were true though :)
Feck it, I`m keeping a running total. One more at the weekend and two tonight. That`s 14 in 47 games now, he`s a machine.

Thought he struggled badly against Sterling, though that's the best I've ever seen Sterling to be fair.

But when that goal went in and he wheeled away. Couldn't help but think that's how one of us would look if we scored at Parkhead. Like a wee kid living the dream.

He needs many many more games at this level. Love having him in the team.

Sterling was a huge challenge but overall Tierney acquitted himself very well, and his 'goal'... I mean goal, was superb :suspect:

Love seeing the progress he's making.

BAYERN MUNICH are tracking Celtic and Scotland left-back Kieran Tierney.

The 19-year-old’s performances in the past year have put him on the radar of clubs across Europe, with Bayern the latest to take aninterest.

The German giants sent a scout to watch Celtic’s 3-3 Champions League draw with Manchester City last week.

While two-goal Moussa Dembele caught the eye with a double, the chance to run the rule over Tierney in such a high pressure game was a key reason for the Bundesliga club being represented in Glasgow.

Bayern technical director Michael Reschke is determined to recruit the best young European talent after the club was accused of falling behind rivals with their international scouting programme.

Although faced with Raheem Sterling in full flight, the defender gave a good account of himself and proved he’d learned lessons from being swamped by Barcelona in the 7-0 Nou Camp drubbing two weeks previously.

Tierney is in no rush to leave his boyhood heroes and boss Brendan Rodgers is certainly in no hurry to sell a player he rates highly.

However, the rapid progress made by Tierney in the last year has not gone unnoticed by bigger clubs down south and across Europe.

That means a lot of folk are taking notice of Celtic, including, we hope, some of Europe's most promising young players who may see Celtic as the ideal proving ground, just like Wanyama, Forster, VVD have done, and now Dembele hopes to do.

Alaba will be the Bayern left back for the next 10 years so I wouldn't be too worried about him going there.

I just want to give his mum and dad a big hug and say thanks for bringing up a thoroughly decent, level headed young man, who happens to be a fantastic footballer.
