Better than Danny McGrain
To be fair, Tierney would shade it, but Danny's 66 with health issues (not that they ever stopped him anyway  )

As Croy is too young to know, see the level young Kieran struggled at during the week? That's the level MCGrain played at. Every week.

Behave yourself he is good but not in the same class as the Legend Danny

HAIL HAIL
There are some things that Tierney does that remind me of Danny McGrain (reading of the game and doing simple things brilliantly) but perhaps a few years before comparisons can be made.

TBF, don't think Danny was anywhere near the first team at Kieran's age, let alone a regular.

Better than McGrain? I sincerely hope that happens. Let's hope we can keep him if it does.

Played really well today. I love the way he looks for the cut back or low cross into a dangerous area as opposed to floating a token gesture cross into the goalie's arms.
this is his biggest strength, every ball into the box goes in with purpose, he cuts it back with pace and accuracy. ones he gets a wee bit stronger and some more experience going to be our best home grown player since the maestro

It was a somewhat different team that Danny had to try to break in to.

Tierney would still be (happily) cleaning big Tam's boots.

There's more chance of Remy McSwain being really nice to everyone on here.

Yet every pre match thread, someone suggest he should be rested !

Eff that, consistently in the top three motm shouts, and always a threat going forward, whilst doing the simple things at the back.

We have a diamond, let's enjoy him as much as we can.

He's carrying an injury, we have very good back up, why risk it?

Sorry mate, but I think the clubs medics are better placed than you to decide if it a risk.

He is a first pick, play him . SImples.

I love him, best prospect since Maloney or Kennedy, easily a future Celtic and Scotland captain, I don't want to see him pushed too far when we have a former POTY as his back up. We've a good squad and a lot of games ahead, I'd use it as much as possible.

Long way to go to be compared to Danny who was one of the best full backs I've ever seen. Young Kieran might score more goals though as Danny was everything bar a finisher.

Are you saying the level of Messi, Suarez and Neymar is the standard of player McGrain played against every week? :ponder: Or that the level of those guys is the level McGrain himself played at?

You had a good few on the line tbf. ;)

Fwiw Tierney is a cracking prospect but has a lot to learn - If he ever gets near Danny McGrain levels I would be ecstatic.
