Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Did you miss his challenge on Pique?
He certainly made Pique wince and hobble a bit. KT just continued with the game like nothing had happened.

I thought the formation we played limited the passing options for both our fullbacks/wingbacks and they both suffered as a result.
I doubt the system affected him.

Last night was his 11th European tie, but only the 7th for which UEFA produced passing stats.

Fenerbahce (H): 67%
Molde (H): 78%
Ajax (H): 65%
Fenerbahce: (A): 69%
Hapoel (H): 76%
Hapoel (A): 53%
Barcelona (A): 62%

Only a few points off his average, which isn't terrible considering he was away to Barcelona.

His distribution is his biggest flaw. He'll improve on that. He was trying the right pass often, in between their full back and Pique for Dembele just not enough time to measure it.

Scousers I work with were full of praise for KT today, saying they can see why Klopp is interested. All I could think is thank Christ you haven't seen him when he's really on his game! I also thought if you want him he'll cost you more than your new stand :arrr:

Another good assist from KT again today. throw in the goal from Scott Sinclair and you can see how dangerous we are down the left.

Best game in a while but still looking nervy. A couple of great attempts at goal, but caught out at the back a few times.

How can someone so composed in the opposition area look so nervous midway inside his own half?

Played well today, but did needlessly concede the free kick that launched the pressure leading to their second equalizer.

Pretty much sums it up. I'm not actually convinced he is a good defender. Brilliant going forward but his decision making at the back this season has been poor.

Bale started as a left back. Maybe Tierney will go through a similar development in terms of his change of position.

No way. Tierney is a very, very good defender. Defending is his strength.

Played really well today. I love the way he looks for the cut back or low cross into a dangerous area as opposed to floating a token gesture cross into the goalie's arms.

Unlucky not to score, is that the most attempts at goal he's had in a game?

Really good today.

Silly free kick to give away at the end.

Exactly

He's not bad going forward but defensively he has been great for us over the piece since breaking into the team.

Browns comments "tackle his own granny".

He's young and will make mistakes but will develop into the best defender in the country.

Bale

I haven't noticed this nervousness, although I don't live in Scotland so only ever see him on TV. I feel like he's a very good defender; Strachan said last week he was the best one-on-one defender in Scotland. Granted he's got a lot to learn but there's time for him to do it.
