I actually think he's been rushed back from injury.
Also didn't help playing against one of the most outrageous front three to ever play the game together.
It wouldn't be the worst idea to give him a break for a game.

He's a powerful tackler, a good crosser of the ball, but poor in possession.

At least that's something that can be worked on.

Young man has a lot of potential and handled properly could go on to be in the Celtic hall of fame.

He is however, far from the finished article, and should take the lessons from tonight's drubbing on board.

As long as he can learn from tonight and not let it hurt his confidence then I'll be happy.

The last thing he needs is dropped.

If he's fit, he needs to play. Let the boy make his mistakes.

He's not bad on the ball. He's bad on the ball in his own half. Some of his intricate passing in the final third is outstanding. His crossing is excellent.

The problem tonight was we never got out of our half, so the poor aspect of his game was accentuated.

To a point I agree, but he is still a young lad, still growing and his physique still developing. I think managing his playing time will pay dividends. Nothing overly drastic, just a few games here and there. What with Europe and such that is one load of games.

Tierney was our second best player tonight. I know its damning with feint praise but if you came away from tonight's game wanting to criticise him when all Barca's dangerous attacks came down our right hand side I dont know where youre coming from.

The wee man looked frightened at times tonight, and who could blame him up against the best on the planet. He will be a star.

This isn't a match to analyse his attacking merits. Most of the time when he was in possession he was isolated and pressured one of the best pressing teams in the world.

Think he wanted Messi's shirt tonight, at the end of the game he was trying to reach him and others kept getting in his way. Who could blame him, the wee man is living the dream!

Tonight proved how far he has to go.

He was dreadful tonight. Completely overawed.

Actually thought he defended better than most tonight and showed good willingness to get forward on the few occasions he had the opportunity.

However, he is far too one dimensional in possession at times. He's great going down the outside but he surrenders possession a lot by not being comfortable in finding a man on the inside, hence his frequent punts down the line. Safety first is all fine and well, but if he wants to be a Champions League level defender in a Champions League level team he needs to improve in possession. And I actually think working on passing the ball with his right foot would go a hell of a long way to remedying that. Fell over himself a couple of times tonight trying to use his right foot - it's a very clear deficiency in his game.

Still love him though. Cracking prospect.

Tierney was overawed by the occasion but his effort couldn't be faulted, particularly in the first half.

Huge learning curve but can only learn lessons from it, which will benefit him going forward.

I've said this before on here I think, but why do left footers appear to be more one-footed than right footers?? It's weird.
