Wee man is young, carrying an injury and coming off the back of a good debut season.

Dip in form expected, give him a Wee rest.

Not really a dip in form, one poor game. He was excellent at McDiarmid park.

Played at centre half at times last night and also is carrying a pretty bad shoulder knock. Can see the strapping all the time. He needs a few games off to try and let it recover, it's making him tackle in weird ways and his playing style is altering because of it. He's got big baws wanting to play on through it, and good on him, but we shouldn't take any liberties with it. Get him a few weeks rest, we don't need him until the Huns.

He wasn't good defensively in the first leg either.

Left exposed time and time again by Sinclair playing higher up the park (which looked to be a tactic of Rodgers, and worked, in fairness).

BARCELONA and Man City could be classed as a nightmare Champions League draw for Celtic.

But Kieran Tierney looked as if all his dreams had come true at once.

The Hoops full-back was a BALLBOY when Neil Lennon’s Celtic beat Barcelona back in November 2012.

How does it feel to be facing the Nou Camp giants for real now? Tierney responded with one word — MADNESS.

Celtic will find it tough to get out of Group C but Tierney is relishing the Champions League glamour.

He smiled: “It is madness. It’s hard to take in just now. It just shows anything can happen.

“Four years have flown in for me and I can’t believe I’ll, hopefully, be playing against Barcelona.

“I was sitting in the corner in front of the Green Brigade when Victor Wanyama scored.

“He scored and ran towards me before checking away at the last minute.

“Who would have known that the ballboy sitting in front of the Green Brigade would have played for Celtic?

“Champions League nights are special at this club.

“Obviously winning all the league titles is great but this is the best club competition so it is really special to be back.

“Playing in it is brilliant for a club like Celtic. I think that is where we belong.”

Celtic qualified for the group stages the hard way — and the Champions League is only about to get tougher.

Barca and Man City are among the favourites, while German side Borussia Monchengladbach finished fourth in the Bundesliga.

Celtic were the last team to be pulled out by Tierney’s hero, Roberto Carlos, but he insists it was worth the wait.

He said: “We were made to wait for our name to come out at the draw and it hasn’t really sunk in.

“The teams we are drawn against are very tough and we will need to be at our best.

“Everyone had been asking me who I wanted us to draw but I didn’t have a preference. Every team you get is tough, as everyone is there for a reason.

“But obviously Barcelona is the place where you want to play, against great players.

“No matter what who you get, it’s going to be big names.

“It’s going to be tough. We are not going to just make up the numbers, as we’ve qualified in our own right as well.

“If we do the right work on the training field, then you never know what can happen.

“It’s going to be the first time for some of us and that’s great for Scottish football. If we get picked for the national side then we can take these experiences on to that stage.

“It will give us something else. It’s six massive games and we won’t always be the favourites so it’s great for the club and for the learning curve for the players.”

Tierney, 19, exploded on to the scene in last season’s Europa League campaign for Celtic.

But he revealed he’s a veteran of European football as a fan, with dad Michael even taking him to Blackburn as a Primary One pupil in 2002.

Tierney smiled: ‘My earliest memory of Europe would be Seville. That was extraordinary for Celtic and it was great to watch them.

“I didn’t go to Spain for the final but I went to Blackburn in one of the earlier rounds.

“I was dead young. I think I was in P1. I had just started school! No, I didn’t go in the next day!

“I’m still raging with my dad that he didn’t take me to Seville. I went to a couple of the home games on that run as well.

‘When I had grown up a bit I went to some other away games. I went to AC Milan for the last-16 game when Kaka scored the winner in extra-time.

“I also went to Barcelona for a game. I’m not even sure of the result then as I’d be lucky if I was ten at the time.

“I didn’t go on the stadium tour or anything. I just watched the game from about a mile up in the stand. I didn’t even know what the score was!

“I was at all the home games too. I was there when Shunsuke Nakamura scored his free-kick against Man United.

“Coming into school on those mornings, you were so excited. You couldn’t concentrate when it was Champions League night.

“There will be people who have booked their flights already for the away games.

“I remember my dad would be on the phone to different people trying to organise tickets.

“He used to get the bus abroad — a 30-hour journey sometimes. It’s proper dedication from the fans that go.

“They work hard and it is brilliant for them to get this kind of draw.

“It will be great for everyone and for all the kids who get to come and see the likes of Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero.

“It’s a tough draw but I will work hard and hopefully I can play a part. I’ve played in the Europa League and this is the next stage for me now.”

Should be rested for a few games. I'd play Izzy on Saturday assuming he's fit.
Rest Kieran against the Sheep - Pull him out of Scotland squad and then play against the Zombies.

Would do Kieran good and annoy the feck out of the Zombies that will follow Scotland during Strachan's last campaign.
And then The Grass gets called up and then injured.

Don't think he was.

This isn't just on the basis of last night, as much as I think he is decent, he has been overhyped out of all proportion. His passing for a full back s pretty disgraceful, often just lumps the ball up. He will improve and turn out to be a good player but we could do with another left back to take the burden off him just now.
Congratulations! Describing his passing as disgraceful has won you the trophy for overdramatic comment of the week.

I have to say although he wasn't in my top 3, the wee man was immense today. Maybe I just expect him to be great. Did everything well, tackling, positioning, passing and getting forward. Class.

 His relationship with Sinclair is improving game on game and his delivery from the left with either foot is going to see him assist a good few goals this season. He seems such a lovely and grounded young man too.

I hope he can continue to improve over the years.

He stood out a lot last season and was one of a few bright spots. Hopefully, the rest of the first team pulling their socks up, in addition to the quality additions BR has brought in, takes some attention away from him, allowing him to get on with developing.

I also thought he had a very good game today.
