Great prospect, but think he needs a wee rest.
Tend to agree. I thought he was pretty poor again tonight.

As long as Izaguirre is still at the club we should maybe use Tierney a wee bit wiser.

He was targeted tonight by a poor outfit and you could see why. Has potential but nowhere near the finished article.

Agree he needs a rest/competition, but Izaguirre is certainly not the answer.

My main gripe, is that he's really, really poor in possession when put under any pressure. He just resorts to launching the ball. He wasn't the only one tonight, but full backs are in a pretty unique position where they see a lot of the ball, so he must do a lot better in this area.

Solid in the tackle wears his heart on his sleeve, but Izzy should start at the weekend. He was excellent against Motherwell and is much better at linking up with the guy in front of him for the time being.

Bit harsh held his position well under pressure think he had a worse game against St Johnston - as others have highlighted he needs a rest

Steep learning curve for him.

I thought he looked a bit leggy tonight and he didn't have much support from the midfield but he did have a poor game. Let two crosses in far too easily in the second half, which isn't like him. Still, he kept plugging away and looked like Maldini compared to our other full back.

Not sure if he needs a rest or just needs to keep learning on the job.

He's not long turned 19. He won't be the finished article for a good while yet, as is to be expected.

Yes but I'm not one of the many comparing him to Danny McGrain. Any player wearing strapping down the shoulder will struggle. Rodgers needs to put him on bench till he's fit. He's miles off it just now.

I haven't seen many comparing him to Danny but fair dues.

Didn't realise he was actually injured but hopefully that explains his poorer mobility over the last couple of games. Izzy should slot in for the timebeing.

His worst match but still in my top 4 with Sinclair, Toure and Erik on top. He worked his arse off but was at fault with Gordon and Brown for their first goal. The rest of the team were shocking and didn't give him any help.

His average pass completion rate in the Europa League last season was in the mid 60s.
I'd be surprised if it was even that high tonight.

He might not be fully fit, but he really has to work on his composure.

Needed others around him to stand up tonight and they bottled it.

Games like tonight will be great for him in the long run.

If mad Emilio played tonight, we'd be out. Okay he wasn't fantastic but he's the best we have.

I missed the game tonight but sounded as if he struggled but did not hide. I though Izzy looked fairly sharp in pre-season and I would try to balance their playing time a bit more. Tierney does need games but not 50 a season.

Should be rested for a few games. I'd play Izzy on Saturday assuming he's fit.
