When was the last time we actually brought through a decent left-back entirely of our own doing? In my lifetime, KT's competition on that front would be Mark Reid and The Bold Anton. So, not really that close a contest.

:ponder:
I think we are talking Tommy Gemmell. Danny McGrain often played LB for Scotland but only to accommodate Sandy Jardine on the right.

Think we signed Anton from Distillery. I remember going to his debut and thinking he was going to be decent.

Rock solid. I read a meme on Facebook with a photie of him and it said: "Kieran Tierney must have hunners of weans. He never pulls out of anything" or words to that effect. Sums him up for me! A bit to go, but doing fantastically well just now.

Consistently outeffingstanding. If he maintains this he could be the first £20m plus player from Scotland.

See if Rodgers can improve this boy any more then he is going to be a superstar. Already has the correct attitude, ability, mental toughness and fearlessness to play for a big team. If we can improve his distribution and gets even faster and stronger then the sky's the limit. I hope his attitude rubs off km the youth coming through

Bear in mind it's only about 18 months ago he broke his leg, and look how he's came back from that. That could have ended experienced pros in terms of confidence, you only have to look at his backup to see that it can affect you. Water off a duck's back for this wee guy.

I think he was decent. :ph43r: You are right though - we bought him from Distillery as we did Allen McKnight.

Wears black boots and tucks his shirt in. Deserves praise just for that alone. :worthy:

Surprised there aren't more people commenting on yet another outstanding display this afternoon.

Just wait until he has a bad game and this thread will be full of posts
Got to the point we have come to just expect it now.

What is astonishing about this young lad is the level of consistency he shows.

There have been scores of young players that look like world beaters for a run of games, but how often does someone come along to keep doing it week in week out at this age?

If he keeps progressing, it is frightening just how good he could become.

Could go on to be our best FB since Danny McGrain
