Keech driven by the Scottish hacks. Please die quickly.
The media get all the blame and the ITK's get a free pass. Wonderful. That might change if, well the paid media did there job for instance.
The Scottish press ceased that years ago, driven by agenda, own opinion (never pushed as such) and deep-rooted cleeks.

Who claimed he'd agreed terms with Everton? Canny be much of a list.
Yer man who leaks the teams. He's usually spot on with the teams though, so I'm willing to let this one slide. Sometimes things come to fruition - sometimes they don't. Terms between Tierney and Everton were sorted. I trust who told me 100%. And please spare me the "but the club didn't give him permission".
Since the news was leaked there was some heavy backtracking from Tierney's side. "He doesn't want to leave" "His head is all over the place".
See to end all of the speculation there was a very simple manoeuvre that would have nipped everything in the bud. Tierney only had to find one tweet on Twitter from a fan saying "Please don't leave Celtic. You are Celtic". There wasn't even a need to RT simply for him to like that tweet. Problem solved. All bets cancelled.
It's clear that Everton thought they had Tierney. I think what they didn't reckon on was Celtic looking for significantly more than what they wanted to pay. If you check through the thread you'll see that someone very well informed said Tierney's team then returned to Celtic.
If I'm honest I think that a deal at 20 million for the club and 80K for the player would have been agreeable to both parties. It's clear that only one of those conditions were met. You only need look at the club's touting of Dembele in January to see it's a two-way street. Whether it's right or wrong our model is based on shifting on one player for significant sums every couple of seasons. I think it would have suited both Celtic and Tierney if he was next.
Oh and I'm far from ITK. There's many snippets about Celtic that if you are prepared to filter out he noise you'll pick up gems from the right people. I'd actually say most of the stuff I've heard I've not passed on purely for the reason I think it reflects negatively on Celtic.

There is so much shampoo that goes on in the background of football clubs and only a very small part of it makes the papers. Agents can talk to whoever they want whenever they want. It's going on all the time. We're doing it too.
There's little doubt in my mind this thing was a bubbling along nicely until something stopped it dead in its tracks.

The InTheKnowers is a new Channel 4 comedy series about 4 online KDS Celtic Da's, who ain't quite cool enough for the Huddleboard, but not quite sad enough for CQN*. The characters are
- Sean: comes from a middle class background. He's less intelligent than he likes to think and spends most of his time wittering on about UEFA coefficients, pointless statistics, and various other bits and pieces that no one else gives a shampoo about.
- Thomas: the 'know it all' of the group, or so he thinks. Constantly invents transfer rumours so that people think he's got contacts at the club. Pretends he's there home and away, week in, week out - when his posting history suggests he's always just at home in front of his computer. Once had a trial with Celtic, but was asked by Henrik Larsson not to come back as he was showing everyone up.
- Peter: The social media addict. Posts relentlessly on Twitter, Facebook, the Forums, everywhere - but usually about Rangers. Obsessed with one particular celtic supporting twitter babe, Bernadette, who he stalks follows closely online.
- Michael: Not the sharpest tool in the box, Michael is the only one who believes Thomas' transfer rumours, and will defend them well beyond the point that the player signs a 10 year contract with Juventus. Constantly teased that he's so slow and gullible that he should be a Rangers fan. Still has a freezer full of ice cream.
Tune in to episode 1 - much hilarity ensues when the Da's travel to Easter Road for a game and Michael forgets the tickets. The Da's suggest to Thomas that he uses his friendship with Neil Lennon to get them into the stadium. But did Thomas really teach Neil Lennon everything he knows about football management through co-op games of Football Manager, as he claims?
*note: no offence to CQN. I just needed another celtic site, and since it couldn't be the prawn sandwich loving KDS, I went for you.

If indeed it's true that KT and Everton agreed terms on an £80k a week contract only for the deal to collapse due to Everton being unable or unwilling to meet our valuation for him, then 2018/19 may well be a landmark season in KT's Celtic career.

Like I say KT has a very good understanding of his relationship with the fans and he could have nipped this in the bud the same way Griffiths dealt with the interest from Turkey. Job done. Move on.
I also found it strange that after there 2 weeks of speculation there was a very understated response from Celtic.
Rodgers said: “Kieran has been absolutely brilliant, as per normal.
“He’s totally focused and, thankfully, he’s at a club he loves. There has been no change in Kieran.

So at the end up it has come to nothing. I doubt we will ever know the full story or if we do, the motivations of all of the parties involved. I have to say I am always a sceptical of people on here who are supposedly ITK (the expression is getting as annoying as "Brexit"). For my money all I want is for Kieran Tierney to play the very best he can when he turns out for the club. If for any reason he feels he wants to ply his trade at another club then I'll thank him for his efforts, wish him all the best but consign him to the long list of "players who used to play for Celtic".
Now we've a very important match to win this week.

Have I misread this or are you saying Tierney was ready to go if nobody tweeted him saying “please stay”?
