Alashkert sold their best defender so it's only fair we make it fair and square and sell ours before the match

I’d doubt he’ll be rushed back in even if Belgium lose tonight.

Ok fine. My pals da is ITK and says we are after Rooney.

Can we start a thread?

Naw, why because it's jist something someone said or heard.

It's the same with KT. Nothing official from anywhere and we are still hypothesising over it for days on end.

I guess it's not what you know but who you think knows something.

So your answer is "cos he loves Celtic". Great stuff.
No, I never mentioned Tierney, it was you that said were it you in that position you'd be happy with 2m till someone offered you 5m.

Therefore I asked you if you were already earning 2m a year and you loved your job, would you jack it in? Just to earn more money when you are in effect already a millionaire?

Is stacking cash that important to you?
We were talking about Tierney and I asked this:

"What makes you think Tierney should/would be any different? Please don't say it's cos he loves Celtic."

You answered this:

"Because 2m a year is more than enough to live a very comfortable live style while playing for the club you love."

I presumed you were still talking about Tierney.

Brendan's interview last weekend coincided with many reports suggesting Tierney could be leaving - some of them from seemingly well-placed Everton sources - and didn't remotely dampen any of the stories.

EDIT: Quote fail

Had intended to quote nakaboots' post above this.

Why would mods allow those with a track record of having inside information to say things and not silence them immediately? It just doesn't make any sense.
Because usually a (potential transfer) thread is based on facts instead of heresy.
Burn the lot of them!

Kieran has been offered 85k per week and a large signing on fee with Everton. He doesn’t want to move but board are interested in the 25 million.

Why is Scott Brown still at Celtic?
Brown was the next big thing about 10 years ago. The football world has significantly changed since then.
Eh? I'm sure that Brown will have had the opportunity to earn substantial amounts more in England but chose to stay at Celtic. It's not always about the money.

Will be sad to see him go but selling a player who came through the youth system for 25-30m is a dream for Celtic and is the ethos of the transfer policy and the club is right to accept a bid like this.
Everton probably not his first choice club but will be a stepping stone to a bigger move for him to one of Europes super clubs.
As long as the money is well spent I'm all for it

He is not going anywhere! Whatever is written in the press is not true. Sure the club would like the money but realise there’s is a line and currently KT is that line!

As for those dissing Everton, whilst it would undoubtedly be a lateral move, so was Southampton for Wanyama and VvD and look at them now.
I’ve not understood why people are dissing Everton . In English football Everton are a massive club. Before the influx of foreign money they were a far bigger club than either Chelsea or Man City. Granted theyre not as good as they once were, but they’re still a huge club. They are easily a bigger club than Southampton
No, they weren’t. And no, they’re not.

They are mid-table also-rans who’ve been rubbish since about 1984...at best.

They had a purple patch for two years in the late 60s and another in the 80s and that is it. In Scottish terms, they’re comparable with Kilmarnock.

KT is duty-bound not to leave this club until he, Scott Sinclair and Iniesta have reduced Shay Logan to a crying, crumbling wreck.

We only deal in known knowns, or known unknowns.

You're talking about an unknown known at best, or, for all we know, an unknown unknown.

What a load of crap. I have left this thread alone deliberately, but for the latest poster to have a pop at Everton like this is pathetic. You obviously know nothing about English football mate, as Everton won two leagues, a Cup Winners Cup and were denied entry to the European Cup at the time by the antics of our neighbours after 1984. Tierney may or may not come here, but rest assured that (taking into account your Kilmarnock jibe) he will be involved in far more testing games than he will have in Scotland. I love Celtic, so will not slate the league in which they play. I will say though, that until these foreign investors turned up we were still competitive. Now that we are owned by a fella with a few bob we are looking to compete again, and the likes of Tierney may help us. I have studied him, however, and I reckon he will struggle physically in the Premier League. The standard in Scotland generally is nowhere near the standard down here. I hope Tierney succeeds, at Celtic, at Goodison, or wherever he finishes up. I'll leave you in ignorance about Southampton's standing compared to Everton's in English football. Good luck to the Celts this coming season. Stevie G will really push you......
