Some folk would do well to remember that as ‘one of us’, he’ll be gutted and pretty upset at some of our supposed fans opinion of him over the past couple of weeks. I’m sure he’s had a good read at Twitter, Instagram and this very thread.

Given that very few people have any idea as to what has been going on, at the very minimum, the lad deserves less of the criticism and name calling that’s been thrown at him across social media.

I’m sure his £80k a week will cheer him up.

Some of the stuff has been over the top but I'm sure he'll know himself if he leaves just now to Everton he's going to get heavily criticised for it. Deservedly so in my opinion.

You heard he’s off too Bryan?
I’ve heard as long as we get what we are looking for we will let him go. As for the PR/marketing stuff.. Glasgow is a small place.
so if we don't get the fee we want and he stays he still won't be in marketing stuff in the future? right you are.

all this hint hint in the know bollocks either means that the club is full of grasses or that there is an above average of bullshampootng arseholes in the support I know which way I am swaying
The latter. I said this earlier in the thread that apart from the media story about Everton possibly coming in with a bid which Rodgers commented on (the same way he commented on Dembele in January) there is absolutely no basis to this overreaction on here. A couple of posters with no previous on transfers that I know of have created this . The only guy with any knowledge of incomings/ outgoings over the years has been Mick3y89 and he has said he has heard nothing. Outside of this forum it is not being discussed to the same extent. Tierney may well move before the transfer window shuts but lets hold off on slagging the guy off before then.

Face facts no carrot knows anything . People allegedly “ ITK” 😂😂 ... fcuk off .
Come on, one of the most entertaining things about this board is one ITK knowing more than the other ITK and letting them know it.
Absolutely, the only fact up to now is that some “ITK sources” are talking pish.

Suppose he goes for 25 mil and no real marquee signing arrives. Then the window slams shut... that’s when the real frustration will set in.

The criticism of KT is ridiculous. He has the look after himself and he’ll want to make the most of his talent and ability.

I felt given his age and the fact we are perhaps only 3 seasons away from something historic he would stay through that but you can’t blame him if he thinks his career would be better served elsewhere. He likely wants the stature of the Premiership and competing in the champions league.

If he was to go to Everton, he’ll see it as a step on the way to a bigger final destination. No fan can compare what they would do vs what an actual footballer would do - whilst money will likely be a factor, I doubt that’s the only motivator.

If all the talk is by others trying to persuade him to go, and he decides to stay what does he deserve then???

I want him to stay. Hopefully he wants to as well and we can see him playing in the upcoming season at Celtic Park.

100% correct

Like any great footballer at any club these days: enjoy him while he's with you. Tierney seems like a really decent lad with an excellent attitude. I would wish him all the best whatever he decides to do in his career.

People in football talk pish to the media in interviews and press conferences. They say whatever is in their interest in that instant, true or not, if they can be bothered at all. They’ll contradict themselves the next day if they think it’ll help too. Why people continue to believe this stuff, eff knows.

I’ve heard he’s leaving. Maybe it’s true, maybe it isn’t. But I’ll know either way when i see who he’s playing for next season. Badge-kissing declarations of love from yesteryday/month/year mean the square root of eff all.

It’s like people haven’t been watching how football works for the past 50 years.
KT is to badge-kissing what Neymar is to diving.
Bollocks.

This is how close KT is to ending his career in the SPL (Motherwell 2 seasons ago ) then last Season's assaults from them in the other games , not to mention other teams ! :suspect:
Any decision he makes on his future should be for his benefit and be respected for it IMO - he has given plenty to the team in performance and committment ! :rocker:

I passed through Glasgow Airport yesterday and Tierney is still fronting the display on the Celtic shop. However, his far away stare was perhaps in a Merseyside direction.

Make of that what you will.

If kieran Tierney turns down 85k a week to play football somebody needs to have a strong word with him let's be honest. There isn't 1 person in the world who isn't going to a new job for 4 times their current salary.

If he can get it fair play, hope he goes and enjoys himself and when he's 36 comes and buys a season ticket and joins the rest of us in the stands.

Has Kieran got himself a wummin? That's usually where the trouble starts... :ph43r:

The problem with guys ITK is they are not inside wee Kieran's heid.

I hope he stays for a good few years but if the silly figures being thrown about are true then I doubt there would be very many people on here who would knock it back.

One way or another I hope it's resolved soon.

He's no Mo Johnston or Charlie Nicholas, he is a decent young guy who loves Celtic as much as anyone on here.
