The way he's started pulling those little balls back from the bye line is superb, if he keeps progressing as is the big bhoys will be looking at him. It's those pointless punts up the park he needs to work on, then again would you rather he pissed about on the ball in stupid positions? Probably not.

Richly deserved, well done Kieran. Hopefully sets an example to other young players at the club that the rewards are there if you put the work in.

Well deserved; an outstanding prospect.

Folk are allowed to comment on his flaws though, it's not chucking him under a bus. He needs to be a wee bit more composed in possession in his own half, that much is true, but the defensive side to his game is excellent. Normally with young full backs, that's the part that needs most work. Picks out a really good cut back too. Done it a couple of times again today.

Of course we should be able to discuss his strengths and weaknesses. My opinion is that his ability in possession is very good and he can see and play a pass extremely well for a young player. Full back is a difficult position to play where you are often closed down quickly and it is necessary to clear the ball. However when a pass is on he generally plays it well. When he has to play a long ball it is often in to a good area, although not all find their target. I can't think of a full back we have had in the last 20 years who passed the ball better. The number of times he cuts the ball back from the bye line and finds a team mate is a good indication of his composure and vision.
I just hope we can keep him for a couple of years and watch him progress further.

Izzy's a much better player for keeping possession, but Tierney has a far, far better final ball these days. As others have said it's OK to point out that he's not exactly Lizarazu yet. As long as he keeps improving and people are patient with him then that's all you can ask for.

Fully deserved. If he keeps progressing like he is, will easy be one of the best we've produced in years. Love how he's brilliant defensively first and foremost but also got quality in attacking areas i.e. the number of dangerous cutbacks he puts in week after week.

Lawwell and Co better not decide to cash in on him in the summer

The most pleasing thing about him is that just when you would expect a youngster to start flagging and his form naturally dips he has actually continued to improve

Terrific debut season. As a lot of people have already commented, it's his maturity and professionalism that make him really stand out. At 18, he's already a pretty accomplished defender and is adding some attacking verve to his game.

He`s been a pleasure to watch this season. Still wonder if he would have had a sniff if Blackett hadn`t been a complete duffer. We should trust some of our youngsters more than we have in the past. His progress to professional game level fitness took at least a dozen games, how many of our young players get that at our level?

Exactly. What's the alternative? Play it inside to brown bitton or a centre half, only for them to be caught dawdling and get it taken off them.?
I've no problem with him playing it safe because his team mates can't be trusted to play themselves out of trouble

Well done kid, a tremendous season

Excellent first season, and like B.Peru says, he got better as it went on. Really promising young man, and if he is managed properly, and by that I mean advised to remain at Celtic for another few years rather than disappearing into a black hole at Chelsea or Man City, then he may become a great player. Well done KT.

The thing that continues to amaze me is how consistent he is, I havent played Champ Man in a few years but he's like one of those players you always had in your team as he never gets less than a 7. Absolutely outstanding KT :worthy:
