Naw. He's away with less appearances and trophies than Armstrong ffs. He had the chance to be a legend - he's sold it.
Exactly man, Brown has achieved more with us than whats his name has.

Oooft naw mate.

I appreciate the sentiment and while I'm not ready to throw KT under the bus he would be leaving the job he started well short of legendary status.

He could’ve been a legend and captain. Just like Bitton, he is also an invincible.
A man who has stayed despite abuse from his own supposed fans, then learned and played centre half to dig us out of a hole rather than pissing aff to Real Sociedad or whoever it was wanted him. That's more of a legend. Not a megaphone in sight either. Humble.

No more a legend than Boyata on that basis.

Even Islam Feruz left to go to a big team
So I'm refusing to accept this is happening.
A lot of condescending stuff being written about Everton. While obviously they don't have the fanbase or worldwide appeal Celtic do - they are still a very big club with a good following and a rich history etc. It's hardly Wycombe Wanderers he is being linked with.
It's not a team that he will be winning things with or playing in Europe.

If I was in KTs position I wouldn't be leaving for it. He had the chance to do everything that most of us ever wanted to do. 10 in a row, future captain and to give all that up for Everton leaves a very bitter taste. Atletico Madrid I would have said fair enough but not this.

Not really condescending. I'd just imagine it'd take more than a perennial mid table team to prise him away from a Celtic side that has just done a double treble and has a chance at 10 in a row
He doesn’t have to stay at Everton forever. As Lukaku, Fellaini and Rooney can testify, it’s an established stepping stone to Old Trafford.

They appear to have ambitions to go beyond mid table and their recent spending would indicate that. Their average attendance of just under 40k is about the capacity of their (admittedly sub par) stadium. I've been to Goodison a couple of times - Everton are a big club playing in one of the most attractive leagues in Europe. The way some people are talking you'd think he was leaving for League One or something.

Bit odd this.
Seriously odd. This hasn’t just sprung up out of nowhere. How long has he wanted away?
Most importantly, if true, why?
If he goes, he goes.

However, I see a young guy, lives with his folks, goes to watch his mates playing on Sunday for the local pub and I definitely have reservations about him adjusting to life away from his local environment. Even just a couple of hundred miles away.

Add to that playing for a team who are going to lose as much as they will win, and with the exception of a couple of seasons in the eighties that has always been the case in my lifetime (I'm fifty), and I see problems ahead for him.

In my view he'd be better, for his own sake, waiting a few years. A wrong move at the wrong age to the wrong club will seriously harm his career. It has happened to players much better than him, e.g. Charlie Nicholas.

Celtic's forward planning here also is far from perfect.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I thought he wanted to stay for a good few yrs become a Celtic legend then move on.He would still be one a multi millionaire if he stayed his full career with us then he would probably have a job for life at Celtic coaching or whatever.I would be gutted if he left because I can’t think of a better left back since tommy Gemmell. If we sell him I hope it’s not for as little as £25M because if we do and we don’t make the group stages of the CL because we sold him then we have actually lost money! If he goes it’s more likely we will lose other players and I think Brendan will consider his future. It wasn’t that long ago we were playing in front of about 35000 fans at CP now we have a season ticket waiting list. Are we willing to throw this all away?
eff sake man. I like Tierney and all but him leaving for a decent wedge isn’t end of days stuff
We're going to be a weaker team this season and he's sending a signal that it's not that hard to leave Celtic whenever you fancy it. I think it's fair to consider whether BR will stick around for the long-term if the team is depleted further.

Edit: assuming he does leave.

If the rumours are true though - BR and PL have tried to get him to stay

I know there will be many rumours circulating but I’m holding off on slagging Lawwell just for now

Does that make Jozo Simunovic a legend? Nir Bitton? Stuart Armstrong? Think you're using the word pretty loosely.

He could be counted alongside Danny McGrain. If he leaves now I'd rank him somewhere between Mark Wilson and Andy Hinkel on the 'legend' scale.

That said, I'm still not 100% convinced he's the one engineering this of his own accord.

Harsh.

Bitton has played many more games for us, and been a winner of infinitely more in the Champions League.

edit, just realised that was not just exaggeration but actually pish
