A sickner. No two ways about it.

I'll be gutted if it turns out he's been pushing for it as well after all the Mr Celtic patter about him.

There are EIGHT and a HALF weeks left until the transfer window closes plus nobody really knows what transfer deals the club are pursuing (that’s as it should be !) ....

... and yet we get “weaker team” and "poor window” plus unfounded criticism of the club’s management and supposed targets etc., etc. ...

... have a word a few of you .. just because it’s not happening quickly enough for you doesn’t mean it’s not happening ! And i bet you opened your Xmas presents early !

You judge a season at the end - not before the first game’s played. Likewise with the transfer window - wait until it’s closed and then comment on how good or bad it was.
That is a very positive spin from someone known as being a bit realistic/negative.

I looked through the thread but obviously canny the post that is making everyone dead certain he's leaving?
Mention of a post by ballbhoy or something?
One of the few players I'd turn down 25 mil for

Agreed. Our issue is our useless winter window not this one so far.

I'll be firmly in the "shake his hand and wish him well" camp.

Its the way of things , too much cash and lifetime security on offer these days.

As for any staying forever chat , well , people can change their minds in life , its no crime.

Hope he goes down there ,earns a fortune then lets his contract run out and comes back for free when he's 30 and still good.

Spot on Remy, players will be brought and there is no doubt about that, club will have had their targets and there's plenty of time, if we can't get get through the first qualifying round it won't be because we sold Kieran Tierney

Have Everton got people in Austria or is this just done on the phone, no medical, nothing?

Amazing how quickly other teams can do their business and it takes us a month to activate a pre-agreed deal.

Shocking state to have the defence in this shambles ahead of the CL. Biggest gamble yet by a serial gambler. There's no way that they wouldn't have known this was in the offing so to not even get back up, which we needed anyway, is a joke. All we've had is a guy over for a chat who's not kicked a ball in years.

A defence against Rosenborg (assuming that we make it past the Armenians) of Ralston, Calvin Miller, Ajer and Simunovic - Hendry might get into the team at the expense of Ralston or Jozo if the latter has another fit of pique a la Astana.

Worse than Ronnie asking Stokes to fill the lone strikers role in Warsaw and Maribor.

Utter stupidity
Even if he never left the defence is in bits, not least with two players in with a chance of a World cup semi final - then two full weeks lay off after that.

Meanwhile putting in bids for midfielders we know will get turned down to pretend we're being active. Need something sorted fast

WTF with giving the lad a hard time?

He's a fan that has been nothing but outstanding for us - and has just gifted us upwards of £25m by the sound of it.

There isn't anyone here that wouldn't take the money being offered to him. If not they should be having a wee look at getting their effing life priorities sorted out ffs.
The money he is on currently would be life changing to a lot of us. I bet nearly everyone of us has dreamed of scoring for Celtic in Europe, and cup finals.

He is supposedly living the dream yet, it appears he has jumped ship as soon as he could.

People are hurt and angry at this and rightly so.

If it is true mind you.

There are plenty here who wouldnt take the money as they are getting ridiculous money to fulfill their dream. Especially to join everton. Maybe a bit different if a big club where in for you , but even then many celtic fans would stay at celtic.
The wages he's on currently could set anyone up for life.

I know I'd want to stick around for 10 in a row if I was in his shoes, and especially given the relationship with the fans.

I hope it's not true

Genuine Question.

If we make it past the Armenians we could face Rosenborg with a defence of Ralston/Hendry, Ajer, Simunovic and Calvin Miller. Are you comfortable with that ?

We are the same club that played Tony Stokes as a lone striker in the qualifiers. I have seen too many shambolic transfer windows to give them the benefit of the doubt. We are not good at closing transfer deals.

Between this, the John McGinn sticky at the top of the page and the England match thread, I really am spoiled for stewing in negativity tonight. Miserable bastard that I am

You'd best ask Brendan Rodgers.
I'm sure if he is desperate for McGinn we'll pull out all stops. After all, if Tierney does go there is a spot open for a Mr Celtic.
I'm sensing a slight flaw in your argument here.
