Burst his arse today and a great pass for the second goal but he is an 18 year old boy and not the finished article. His fitness is shocking and he goes to ground way too much although tbf he usually gets the ball. As he tires he becomes less effective and his distribution goes awry. He should have been rotated more with Izaguirre.
GTF Remy. I agree.

If even half of his teammates showed his guile and desire today we would have cruised it.

Met some friends from "the other side" after the game. He was the one player they both felt did us credit today

As far as Tierney being young and needing a rest, I completely disagree.

His performances since being a regular haven't declined; in fact I would say they have improved.

As physically and technically talented as he is, his greatest asset is his mental fortitude. If he was a wee bit immature I would agree with resting him, but this bhoy feeds off the pressure and can handle it.

He is still developing as an athlete. There is no justification to over push him physically. He may think that he's able to handle it but that dosen't mean his body can.

If we make him play game after game now in addition to any International time he puts in with Scotland without giving him the time to properly build up his stamina alongside proper rest then we will risk shortening his career.

It makes sense to rest him on a regular basis for the next year or so in order to have him able to play at the highest level possible into his 30's.

If the boy's up to it then play him every week - if he continues to progress at this rate then he'll be long gone before his 30's anyway...

Agreed. He actually looks like hes filled out a bit since he came in the side as well physically. Very talented and has the right mentality.

Theres been games where he has been the one dishing out the rollickings at some of his more experienced team mates. That says it all.

My favourite Celtic player by a considerable distance. Nowhere near the finished article, and at his age he will make plenty of mistakes, but one of a very small number of players that are currently giving their all.

Are we that accustomed to Lawwell's fire-sales that we refuse to believe this guy might just give us a good chunk of his career?

The boys a Celtic fan and he could give us 7 seasons and he'd still only be 25.
